Had the pleasure of firing a .44 magnum when I was in the services, otherwise known as Dirty Harrys gun. Gave an incredible feeling of power.

Does "incredible feeling of power" just equate to a lot of recoil? Or something else? (Genuine question)

Both really screaming, I had to  adopt a wide stance and really brace hard. The recoil still nearly took me off my feet. I just felt an overwelming feeling of power afterwards, sort of erection inducing if you like, not one that I want to go out and kill people!
