Does this 'group of people' consist of kids or adults?

adults.

I think its safe to say that the social media generation has nothing to do with this. The product was created by adults and the group consists of adults. If my reasoning is correct, the social media generation cannot be blamed for this.

SO if i have this right, a very stupid generation(lets say the 70s and 80s gen) gave birth to a generation which it referred to as the social media generation. Then it gave this generation a bunch of social media tools. Then the social media generation got spoiled, which in turn affected the stupid generation. And this effect is the social media generation's fault?
Have I got this right? |

Social media accentuates one's insecurity and gullibility. It also exhibits the frailties and pretentiousness of some users.

Well, the social media generation could always STOP using social media, could they not? It makes them even more stupid for using something that is stupid to begin with. |

How would they know when to stop if they are stupid,?
