"The brexit impasse is a tory originated monstrosity"

I don't think you'll find many people agreeing with that.  Only correct imo insofar as reckless Cameron called a referendum.  You can blame Farage/Labour(Corbyn in particular)/The Tories and the public for this fecking mess.

This came about because DC didnt want the continually waring backbenchers going over to the Ukips
Since that ref. the tories have had ample opportunity to get this mystical 'great deal'....only to deliver turd burgers that most agree are worse than what we already have.

Impossible to get better than we already have.  A Corbyn no show during the referendum campaign, a failure to tackle effectively the lies of Boris and Farage, a failure to in any way to address the complexity of the process (ok this was very difficuly tbf as the public wouldn't have been interested or wanted to believe it) and an extremely gullible and ill informed public

Im watching QT now on iplayer, as with the major consensus the majority moan whenever anyone says anything counter brexit, and they all get voiciferous about leaving because 'we' voted for it. yet a little later everyone is agreeing the pitfalls to employment in certain areas as a result, mainly in the very regions that voted leave.
I completely am incredulous at how stupid the electorate actually is.
They are fools on the end of pieces of string.

onlooker: How on earth can ASDA sack 12,000 employees in ONE DAY.

They would then have to CLOSE ALL their Supermarkets, forthwith.

Will NOT happen.

Cameron (2015)  "It's me or chaos with Ed Miliband"

We all know what happened next ......

Their record demonstrates clearly that they are the real party of chaos ! Maybe Ed would not have been such a bad choice after all. (?)

No, they have agreed an  extension until January. That's not the end of it, even if further extensions are granted. After a Brexit agreement, we go into a "temporary arrangement", where we try to agree a trade deal with the EU. That runs until at least Dec 2020 and will almost go on for another few years, since a trade agreement is extremely unlikely to be agreed by Dec 2020.

As for the general election, the tories would love to get an election in prior to the UK leaving the EU.
If an election followed a Brexit that will likely have a significant negative outcome for out economy, the tories may not get in power again for many years.
Many are likely to desert the tories at the next election and a coalition seems the likely outcome.

Labour are not going to allow a GE, but the Libs and SNP want an earlier GE now

I'd be more than happy to have a second referendum. I may not exactly agree with it, but at least we can confirm if brexit is still what the people want.

Yes - I still want Brexit... and even MORE.

Only been kept waiting for 3 and a half bloody years, now.

No matter what happens brexit isn't happening

They'd do what they've done for the past 3 and half years if it was voted leave again

I can't even be bothered to call them horrible names anymore, I'm all out of anger for them

He has accepted the extension and sent a letter.
However, the terms are that, upon ratification of the WAB, we could leave on either 1 Dec, 1 Jan, or 1 Feb.

Funny that

They sneaked something in which gave them the excuse to vote down a GE then, so they could carry this charade on further

Plain

I thought it would be a short delay coupled with another short one next month, they were a bit more subtle with it but still painfully obvious

By:
SontaranStratagem
When: 28 Oct 19 19:46
Why the need to stick that in? a delay until 31st Jan is just that, they didn't add any of these in before did they? making it up as they go

But they stick something in that basically means they "could leave" on the 1st December LaughLaugh

So ho ho, down goes the hammer on any GE LaughLaugh

Absolutely pitiful and pathetic

It is essentially what was requested, the ability to leave upon ratification, the EU have simply put fixed dates rather in place.
By:
SontaranStratagem
When: 28 Oct 19 20:04
Which means we get the whole "will they or wont they" call a GE because of that though

Yes requested exactly for the s*** show you are now witnessing again

Take that out and its harder for them to not call one, there's no ready made excuse in there for Corbyn for example
By:
SontaranStratagem

It really is boring now

They keep sticking ridiculous roadblocks in the way to kick this can further and further down the road

THEY are sticking the roadblocks in every time, and then blaming the other side

They are taking the absolute p***

The Remain campaigners delays are causing such uncertainty that business is completely paralysed and unable to plan and then the frauds have the barefaced cheek to blame Brexit for the uncertainty in business ! You couldn't have made fiction up like this.
