Both spuds so why is one supposedly more healthier than the other?

It's been healthier to lay spuds this season although that could change this weekend.

Have you tried making your own oven chips from fresh totties?  Cut them into 1/8s - or 1/4s, depending on size - sprinkle with olive oil and put into the top half of a fan oven on 180C for 20 minutes giving a shake after 15.  Job's a good un!

Very good, Foinavon!

Of course, the king of spuds is the sautéed potato.  Gordon Ramsey has a good online recipe, but my quick version is to microwave whole spud for a few minutes then slice and shallow fry.

You mean chip shaped roast potatoes trilby? Par cooking before roasting or frying is a prerequisite imo.

You could live on chips.

One bloke lived a year on potatoes.

Strangely most people think that eating carbohydrates gives us diabetes.
Which shows how easily people are misled.

Dr....I remember him...

He was the one where they had to tear out the window to his second floor flat, and use a "Cherry Picker" to get him out!

Saddo...I think you will find that he means "segments", as in an orange!

Andrew Taylor lost 110 pounds on a potato only diet.

Diagnosed with clinical depression before he started, and recovered from that as well.

Says it changed his life for the better.
