Have you tried making your own oven chips from fresh totties? Cut them into 1/8s - or 1/4s, depending on size - sprinkle with olive oil and put into the top half of a fan oven on 180C for 20 minutes giving a shake after 15. Job's a good un!

Very good, Foinavon!
Of course, the king of spuds is the sautéed potato. Gordon Ramsey has a good online recipe, but my quick version is to microwave whole spud for a few minutes then slice and shallow fry. |

You mean chip shaped roast potatoes trilby? Par cooking before roasting or frying is a prerequisite imo.

You could live on chips.
One bloke lived a year on potatoes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ7WPq6bcSs Strangely most people think that eating carbohydrates gives us diabetes. Which shows how easily people are misled. |

Dr....I remember him...
He was the one where they had to tear out the window to his second floor flat, and use a "Cherry Picker" to get him out! |

Saddo...I think you will find that he means "segments", as in an orange!

Andrew Taylor lost 110 pounds on a potato only diet.
Diagnosed with clinical depression before he started, and recovered from that as well. Says it changed his life for the better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grk-_083iBs |
