I think the reason it didn't last long was like one joke over and over again but the first one was brilliant and so was Spike

I only found out about the series about a year ago.
I watched the first episode and found it pretty funny, but as you say it's one dimensional/
I will watch the rest of the series sometime.

I bet most of the PC brigade couldn't watch a single episode of it, they'd be absolutely mortified

That's a silly thing to say. The slave trade was run by whites for the benefit of whites.

Maybe some whites looked after their slaves better than black facilitators but there shouldn't have been any slaves to start with. The blame and shame is fairly and squarely with the whites who carried out slave trading.

It did happen like that Charlie,  I'll dig up the references.  Also the Islamic slavery was far worse and started way before and continues to this day

Slavery in America lasted for 84 years.

Islamic slavery has lasted for 1,400 years - almost 17 TIMES longer.

Islamic slavery was almost 20 TIMES larger than the US slave trade, and continues to this day.

I'd have thought that any compassionate person would decry any sort of slavery not try and hide behind other nations doing it.
