I must admit I feel myself being draw towards Mecca these days, on account of the virgins and stuff they get in the afterlife.
Do they supply the Viagra or do you have to bring your own? I'm pretty sure I'd need it if I'm going to work two shifts trying to satisfy that lot. Probably why they so hot on banning drink, worried about brewers droop I expect. |

Human Beings have minds that always think ahead...but when we get to death, it is just a black wall, nothing beyond.
Whether people admit or not then we are all at least partly afraid of death If we believe serious in any religion, we know there is an afterlife, but if anyone is an Atheist like me, tough |

"I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens"

An atheist shouldn't be afraid of death. if its a black wall its a black wall. so what?
Religious folk are the ones that need to consider it more carefully. Heaven isn't guaranteed is it? |
|
By:
pumpholPerhaps atheists are scared of the unknown detraveller? If we die we cannot continue our current life any more....some of us may be attached to it. |

When I was young I was afraid of dying without having sex?
I do not have that fear now since I have had it...but I remember being frightened that would happen to me. |

'Dr C', behave!
Anyone experienced death and then came back to life again? Intriguing to have a sense of what's on the other side of the pearly gates. |

UBLE. I have to disagree, I genuinely did not worry about it, I mentally shrugged my shoulders and thought 'fck all I can do about it' I wasn't being brave or anything just resigned to the fact that it comes to us all at some point.
As an aside I went in on a Saturday morning, I was hooked up to 2 machines that bleeped if you blinked didn't see the specialist untill Monday 11am, the whole ward was going off (bleeping)every few minutes, nursing staff just ignored it. The specialist was accompanid by a "ward manager" (Sister) who asked can we send this patient home today!! this man is going nowhere he's very ill, came the reply. I then said can I please have some anti biotics for this pneumonia before I run out of oxygen. I was given Intravenous Antibiotics after 2 1/2 of being there, FFS. Weekends are the deffo the worst time to be admitted. The hospital is University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire. |

I punctured my lung in March this year, I lost 2 pints of blood and spent 5 days in the intensive care unit at King's College hospital. The chief consultant said is was a 50/50 job that I had survived as I passed out after the injury for 4 hours. It was been the only time in my entire life that I felt truly frightened.
