A lot of people take comfort and joy from religion and as long as it doesn't purport to violence it can be a positive influence in people's lives
It can especially people close to death or who've lost someone or are lonely etc. can give hope where otherwise it wouldn't be. About 6 weeks ago had a 1/2 hour conversation with the old lady opposite me who's a Jeghova's witness who lives alone,has several illnesses,the family rarely visits and was telling me she kept hoping she didn't wake up but prayer and hope has kept her going. She's a kind soul who found the strength to go on from religion and was now helping another lady from around the corner get back on track after her mother died,I've slated religion plenty on here but wouldn't try to take the pi$$ out of kind hearted people who need it just to get on with being alive. |

But that's the whole point . The law of the land , as it stood , did precisely this . But new legislation has been introduced to elevate Islam to a place where it is no longer open to questioning or criticism , whereas other ideologies and religions still are . Now where's your 'equality' ? We have by definition sowed the seeds of our own demise . The only option left open to us is to put up and shut up or face the consequences of our objections as Tommy Robinson has . He is being used as an example as to what will happen to those who fall out of line . 'Islamophobia' is the most destructful invention since the development of nuclear arms ! |
