Anti-Brexit MP Anna Soubry was "too frightened" to speak at a rally in Parliament Square due to Brexit activists. The flight of a Boris Johnson blimp was also cancelled to avoid antagonising the rival protest.
Ms Soubry, leader of the Independent Group for Change, was scheduled to speak at the March for Change rally in London on Saturday, but told organisers she was intimidated by counter-protests held by the Democratic Football Lads Alliance.
"I don't know what I'm going to do. It's awful but there's also a side of me that thinks that this is our country."I'm a parliamentarian and I have a right to speak and I shouldn't be frightened but it's very, very, very disturbing, and I'm very frightened actually," she told PA.
Ms Soubry has previously been a target for Brexit supporters and far-right activists. Having discussed the situation with police and protest organisers, Ms Soubry left the rally on account of not wanting to cause extra problems.

An excellent example of playing for the sympathy card by Soubry,she was never supportive of Farage or Mogg when they were on the receiving end of aggressive contact.

What is the point of a 'March for Change' rally if @1st time poster is correct ?
The biggest liars I recall from the referendum campaign was the deliberate fears by the government of 3% on income tax ( not happened) . half a million unemployed (650k more employed) and a recession (stock market up) if we voted to Leave, all proven to be no more than deliberate fears to stoke Remain votes.
Not a mention on the BBC homepage of Verhoftstadt refusing a further extension on Brexit.Fcking sCumbags

The background chanting during live tv outside the Houses of Parliament, are they by 'Remainers' or 'Leavers'? It always seems to get louder when someone is being interviewed.

The background chanter is an ardent 'Remainer'(just googled). So why is Anna Soubry too frightened to speak at Remain Rallies given the 'Remainers' are more vocal and in greater numbers than 'Leavers'? Reverse Psychology?

It's a time honoured technique used by women the world over. To play the damsel in distress in order to gain public sympathy and a rush of people to protect her
