New girlfriend says she,ll make me a bread and butter pudding , I says you what ? she says bread butter and sultanas baked in oven with custard its lovely.....I like me puds but that sounds disgusting. Whats the forum verdict lads ? If custards involved I,ll stick to ginger or treacle sponge

Yes, it's much nicer than it sounds. I prefer it made with lard instead of butter and without any added sugar although that's not to most people's taste.
