The answer is simple.

Checks on all goods arriving/leaving at ports/airports on island of Ireland directly to EU. This is a tiny % of Ireland exports to EU as most go over British land bridge.


Leads to no hard border on island of Ireland, NI has no barrier with Britain, plus best of both worlds as far as RoI concerned and EU SM protected.

that's a good suggestion Fred,and all Boris would have to do is print your suggestion on a piece of paper,send it to Leo  and the EU ,and hey presto everyone is up and running,and we all get a bit of hope because something is being done.lets hope someone sees this thread.a very good suggestion IMVHO.take a bow sir.
