The EU and its policy of free movement of labour, undermines the very cornerstone of unionism that the Labour party is built on. Which is  to protect workers jobs and conditions.

Looking through that list there are plenty of pretendy socialists. Which shows how left-wing they really are.

Toynbee said she would leave the country if Boris became PM. She hasn't. Another barefaced lie from a remainer.
Report Hanx September 1, 2019 8:21 PM BST
Here's a constitutional outrage: Parliament voting to allow a referendum on EU membership, and then trying to stop the implementation of the result.

Here's another constitutional outrage: an openly biased Speaker ignoring convention and making up new 'conventions' of his own in order to aid the obstruction of that implementation.

Here's another one: hundreds of MPs lying to the electorate when they stood on party manifestos promising to take the UK out of the EU.

Here's another: Parliament approving the activating of Article 50 and then later on complaining - falsely - that this didn't include leaving with no deal agreed with the EU (leaving aside that the EU itself, so beloved by those hundreds of lying MPs, has broken its own Treaty and insists that it will not make a trade deal until we have left the EU.)

There have been quite a few other constitutional outrages by Remainer MPs and their establishment friends since June 23rd 2016. (I haven't even started on the Electoral Commission, for instance.) They are in no position to lecture from the moral high ground when they are standing in a pit of their own dishonesty.

Report Angoose September 1, 2019 9:23 PM BST
We know that the will of the people, as expressed in the 2016 referendum, was to leave the EU.

We also know that Cameron and Osborne warned that leaving the EU would likely mean leaving the single market and the customs union.
However, we also know that this was dismissed as Project Fear by the leave campaign.

We also know that Dominic Cummings believes that the public, and most MP's, did not truly understand what the single market and customs union were at the time of the referendum campaign.

Thus, it is far from clear if the will of the people was or is to leave the EU with no deal.

There is, of course, a relatively straight forward method by which the will of the people could be established on this matter.
i.e. do they wish to leave the EU with no deal

The only problem is, however, that to ask them in a referendum would, apparently, be undemocratic.

Quite a conundrum.
Report wit-ham September 1, 2019 9:33 PM BST
It's simples the vote was leave the EU
So we leave
Remainers are now lawfully able to ask for another referendum
And if the vote goes join we all then go on the street and say they don't understand
the cartel they are trying to join.
If we have another ref then Krankie will ask for another one and if they leave the UK
that means the remainers are now another 3/4 of a million at least votes down
