Bin or charity shop?

Some old cassettes can be worth thousands to collectors.

) search them on Ebay and it will give you an idea what they are worth. If none valuable, throw in a Walkman (If you have one) and sell the lot as a job lot. Seen similar Auctions reaching over £50. Depending on the Tapes of course.
There was something special about "Double Tracking" which, like the fading on "Radio Caroline", wouldn't be the same without!

Back in the day, I was THE MAN for putting together compilation tapes, everybody invited me to their parties on the condition that I brought some with me.
I'd usually have a theme for each tape, the tape title providing a subtle clue to the musically knowledgeable.

The one I had was spotless , He was flabbergasted when I told him what I paid
said it must be Knackered , It lasted about 18 months , 30 quid a month LOL ..Great fun in decent weather ..
