pecker ,it will be a european border not an irish one, with the German French, and Italian soldiers on the other side, and moves are already in place.

Brass, this wont work.Chaos will ensue.

Have you any idea how many crossings there are and that's only a minor concern by comparison..

Posy, it's been 3 tears plus, just go, get on with, stop whinging, just leave.

Perhaps democracy is failing in broken homeless Britain.

my point is that when Scotland rejoin after NO deal a border issue between between Scotland and England will follow.

Just leave.......I quite agree.Forget trade deals, withdrawal agreements, backstops;let’s get on with it and the Eu can whistle for a divorce settlement.  A month after leaving Ireland will be on their knees and willing to drop all objections.

The Eu pump millions of pounds into Scotland in EU grants each year,it will stop after no deal. The English tax payer can not afford to carry Scotland. The scots will suffer a serious depression, and then demand independence to rejoin the EU.IT COULD END IN WAR. thats my opinion.
but thats if there is a NO DEAL.No deal is playing with fire.

You are so wrong Posy,i go so far to say though,a month after leaving the UK will be on its knees particulary if it defaults on its commitments.

Just Leave and get on with it. The backstop may well as likely been inserted by the Remainers negotiating team in Whitehall to spoil us.

The smaller Irish economy will adapt and survive much easier as our Tourism becomes far more attractive than the sliding pound.

Any decent Irish person would be far too independent of mind for the EU
Well I suppose it’s their choice , but don’t expect anyone to be impressed

Now Posy,i can understand and sympathise with that,but.... the majority of people in both countries are "normal",ie worried about children, cost of living, work etc.

If the Irish want to insist on being independent , and on being in the EU
That brings responsibilities as well as rights

If you are part of the EU , and Ireland is
Then freedom of movement should stop , from Ireland as with all eu countries , , on Oct 31st
Or whenever we do leave

You wouldn't be alone in your way of thinking regarding travellers, maybe actually more so in Ireland, you also have an unelected representive in Boris and as regards goverment, the tory party is a pity, fine gael and fianna fail(opposition\) both came together due to the brexit threat, quite brilliant really, while yours are fcking the man in the street to score votes.

No Boris has been elected in accordance with the election rules of the Tory party....my reference to unelected Irish representatives is to those who have been merely appointed.....by the way i'm half Irish.
