But in saying that the misplaced 'our money' accusation is nonsense. The Royal estate has income of close to £300m but the Queen only retains about £35m with the rest gifted to the treasury. |

Bizarrely the monarchy has massive support amongst the poorest working classes lol.
I can only think they have some sort of needy pop star like attraction to the image or are just plain and simply stupid. Ohh actually looking at the Brexit demographics it must be the latter. They voted to become a lot poorer in that poll so I can see why they support giving some of their very little spare cash to one of the richest families in the world. You just cant help some people. |

We vote in general elections every few years for people to then represent us and legislate in parliament.
That is ehat our decmocracy has been based on for a very long time. Gimmicky, ridiculous referendums with binary options when about 98% of the population don't understand what they are voting about is just poor and utter stupidity and just represents an ignorant protest vote. I am a remainer but I would never advocate a referendum on anything. |

Vote for politicians whose job/career is based on politics. Many may not be very good but they are 99% better then the average Joe off the street.
We dont ask the public to vote on tax because we then wouldnt pay any, we dont ask them about capital punishment because huge swathes are still savages that dont care about putting innocent people to death in their names etc etc etc So wht are we asking them about the most important economic decision for generations when 98% couldnt tell you what a tariff was? |
