The testosterone and PED side is a different issue it's not something I ever get away from it's probably my favourite subject in the case of this thread topic it has no bearing.
Johnsons comment was about how a persons own testosterone responds in the body not exogenous test,African males not only have higher test rates but lower Estrogen type hormones blocking androgen receptors making more 'free' testosterone available for use that's what is meant by more 'testosterone responsive'.

A pasty whitey like myself might have adequate test in the body but too much Estrogen for the body to use it as easily ergo less testosterone responsive.
I'm happy to talk about any PED related issue and the current climate around 'female' athletes but the documentary is about the origins of the genes which produce the best athletes in history and finding the connected truths to the slave trade which are acknowledged on the programme.

I haven’t watched it but Johnson will have been talking about natural testosterone

The idea of the diverse genetics from different parts of Africa coming together does make sense
In England the world’s first industrial country there was something similar as people moved from the countryside to the towns and cities and mills and factories and found partners from outside their own town and area
This was genetically good and created health and diversity and a people who were already the most intelligent and creative probably anywhere in the world became even moreso over the following couple of centuries

One thing I wonder is

When Humans come from a hot climate to a cooler climate...they have some physical advantage

We can go to our own ancestors **** Sapiens who left Africa then become the dominant species of Humans over the Neanderthals

who left Africa earlier..

Mind you the are countries who are also hotter than us....but they do not have this advantage.

So that shoots my own theory down

Similar has happened with distance running when it became clear that a genetic advantage existed African countries were targeted for distance events too and would've dominated the same way earlier given the same opportunities as the sprinters.
Can't compare conditions of Athletic Federations from USA compared to Ivory Coast and Ghana that's development based,those that are from those countries have the genetic tools but probably don't have the money to develop the talent but may do in time,countries like Trinidad and Namibia have produced good athletes in their time.
A good example of the genetics coming to fruition once development caught up is Jamaica,as soon as the got better funded with decent coaches and good doctors they blew the sprint events away much like the USA had done in the past.

yhtl there isn't a flaw in the genetic theory it's already been proven as the GENES of the athletes running in developed countries are similar to those people in Africa today developed or otherwise that's the point of the documentary,Johnson himself is 7/8 African which is a high %,the results since the 1930s don't lie and if there was no such thing as exogenous testosterone they'd be even more one sided.
The hormonal profile of all people from African descent are physically superior to non Africans that is fact they possess a hormonal advantage which is the explanation as to why (with the same coaching etc.) they are superior in these explosive sprint based events.
The common denominator to all these athletes is their genes,we can forget drugs as they take the best naturals and get them on the gear to bring them up to Elite,there's been 0 elite clean sprinters since the 1960 olympics when a German guy won.
Then in 1964 the US upped their doping game and Bob Hayes an American Football player went to another level even on those cinder tracks which changed after that making Hayes a true great albeit short lived due to lifestyle issues.
Anyhow to cut a long story short you need African genetics,development and drugs to be an elite sprinter and the list of the fastest ever 100m sprints by time show the genetic proof and unequivically proves Johnson's theory,there is ONLY BLACK MEN ON THE TOP 25 RUNS OF ALL TIME and the 100m record progression bears this out too.
