“Body found in area previously searched heavily by rescue personnel “  the shaman brought in by cops was a bit too prophetic imo ,also his stuff about the “genie” needing some form of payment followed the day later by a reward being offered could be seen as some type of n commencing .Searching troops were not carrying the guns in case they got attacked by a giant centipede imo . Recently the authorities shot thar  way into a KL City property and killed a couple of kidnappers and released an Indian man ,in another case a child was abducted from a posh part of KL and returned on payment of a ransom (against the advice of cops), kidnapping carries the death pen. This story still has a bit to run imo but sadly for the family it’s a disaster.

Found by “the waterfall “ not a waterfall might indicate one of the main attractions in the area ,trip advisor mentions it and its a fair hike along what is the main hiking route in the area . Cops must of been thinking the family planned to go there and might well have primed the kids for the adventure ,the area around the trail must of been well combeb numerous times .Trip advisor says it’s a doable walk but hard going in the rainy season with proper footwear a must .

Fact she was found nude, would indicate to me less chance of finding DNA... Very much doubt this young girl has walked 1.2 miles naked to die in a hidden place..... This is Murder. Sad

A postmortem of Nora Quoirin, the 15-year-old girl who went missing in the Malaysian jungle, has yet to determine a definitive cause of death and will continue on Thursday, say police.

The body of the teenager, from London, was discovered by a team of local hikers on Tuesday afternoon. She had been missing for 10 days.

Nora’s body was found unclothed down a steep, inaccessible ravine near a stream, just over a mile from the resort where she had been staying with her family, and was winched by helicopter to a hospital, according to an official.

Police said the area had already been searched by rescue teams days earlier.

Nora’s Irish and French mother and father, Meabh and Sebastien Quoirin, identified her body on Tuesday night. The autopsy was carried out on Wednesday by a pathologist from Kuala Lumpur general hospital, a local hospital doctor and two experts from the department of chemistry.

Speaking outside the morgue at Tuanku Ja’afar hospital, the Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief, Che Zakaria Othman, said on Wednesday: “Today the postmortem started at 11:45am. The four-man team are still carrying out their work so the police cannot tell the criminal investigation division (CID) the results yet. There is nothing more we can say for the moment.”

It is understood the Malaysian attorney general, Tommy Thomas, has stepped in to oversee the case and has requested test samples from the postmortem.

Nora was born with holoprosencephaly, a neurological disorder, which limited her speech and coordination and made her “very vulnerable”, according to her parents. During the search, her family said she must have been abducted as she “never goes anywhere by herself”, but police have so far treated the case as a missing person, while not ruling out a “criminal element” in the teenager’s disappearance.

' No foul play '

Struggle to understand why she would have left the holiday home of her own volition.
And what happened to her clothes ?

Found dead, statement said she died two days ago due to lack of food.

Died after only eight days without food?

On red button..A post Morton revealed she died of internal bleeding probably caused by hunger and stress

Cannot understand why search did not find her...unless she was frightened and hid from search

Or perhaps someone was holding her

A tragedy anyway r.i.p.

My understanding was you could go a surprisingly long time without food as long as you had water.
Internal bleeding due to hunger and stress? Never heard of that.

i think most of us would not accept that PM report; & the circs that surround her death. Up to the family now what to do next

"The cause of death was upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal ulcer, complicated with perforation."

Peritonitis could certainly be fatal quite quickly without emergency treatment - a very sad and painful outcome.  Hard to draw a conclusion on what actually happened

A Quoirin family lawyer has advised 'caution' around the results of the post-mortem into the death of 15-year-old Nora.

In results that were announced on Thursday morning, police found there was no evidence of foul play in the death of the Irish teenager.

The results found that she died from intestinal bleeding, most likely due to starvation and stress and that there were no signs of sexual assault.

Her body was discovered two days ago - 10 days after she went missing - close to a waterfall about 1.6 miles from the jungle resort of Dusun, where she had been on holiday with her French and Irish parents, sister Innes (12) and brother Maurice (9).

Speaking to the RTE radio programme Today with Miriam O'Callaghan, the French lawyer Charles Morell said the Quoirin family is satisfied with the work of the police.

However, he believes people should be "cautious" by the first interpretation of the postmortem results.

He said no avenue of what happened to Nora has been "excluded", including a criminal investigation.

He added that it is too early to determine what happened to Nora and that the family want to get more information from toxicology reports.

Mr Morell said the Quoirin family still "cannot understand" how Nora could leave the cottage they were staying in by herself.

Speaking to the Irish Times on Wednesday, the French grandfather of Nora Quoirin has said he believes "someone put" the teenager’s body in the place where she was found in Malaysia.

Sylvain Quoirin said he believes the circumstances surrounding Nora’s death are a criminal matter.

"She wasn’t there yet [during previous searches]. Someone put her there, to get rid of her," Mr Quoirin said.

"Can you imagine her walking 2.5km, naked and barefoot, over rocks, in the middle of the night?" Mr Quoirin asked. "For me, that’s absurd."

Why didn't they put up a drone with thermal camera or even use a sniffer dog ?

i would have thought a girl with Nora's disadvantages would not survive wandering in the jungle for a week. lack of clothes - maybe she stripped off in a delerious state? parents seem keen to push abduction - like the McCanns desperate to acquit themselves of any responsibility.

How is this absurd? She was disabled. That's exactly what a person struggling with coordination would do. Not saying that that is what happened but the lawyer is full of shet if he thinks thats absurd.

From the Guardian;

Drones and helicopters have been deployed to search the dense forest in southern Negeri Sembilan state. A recording of her mother's voice is also being played over loudspeakers in an attempt to find the teenager. In a statement, her family, who believe Nora was abducted, said she was “not like other teenagers”.

This is just plain horrible. I have no idea of the circumstances but anyone who has had daughters will know what it is like when you have lone responsibility for youngsters  - like in shopping malls etc etc.   Forget jungles (ps I have been there way back)
Even now I don't trust mine to cross the road safely.   And they are all growded up with responsible adult type jobs and left the nest.
Much harder with a young girl with her conditions.   Very sad day.

I would need some proof of lack of parental responsibility A T to believe that, at the moment

The McCanns I have long given up on them, whether they were murderers or just woefully negligent I don't know????????

Despite many summers spent in Portugal neither do the British Police,  we have gone off subject a bitBlush

A tragic outcome , What temp is at Night time over there ? Why would she climb out of a window naked in the Middle of the night ?  If the girl was that Vulnerable her parents would have known and taken precautions , was she known for heading off in the middle of the night ??

80 - 20 Foul play imo.

Wondering if anybody's making claim or inquiring if they maybe entitled to any reward money for discovering Nora??

"The family of a teenager who died in Malaysia after disappearing on a family holiday said they hope to have "more answers to our many questions".

Nora Quoirin's body was found beside a stream on Tuesday about 1.6 miles (2.5km) from her accommodation.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 15-year-old died from internal bleeding probably caused by hunger and stress.

Her family said the test results gave "some information" but she died in "extremely complex circumstances".

"We are still struggling to understand the events of the last 10 days," they added in a statement"

Thought it was her grandfather stating this, not the lawyer ?
