evening EK. John is sadly no longer with us; he retired rom CH4 Racing in the mid 90s. And if memory serves, he was the "mystery tipster" on TV, who liked the odd tri-cast. He was fond of the odd tipple or 3 and was far more knowledgable than just a results reader

Thanks for the YT clip. It was that excerpt from 2000 Guineas day in 1993 which prompted my question. What I found interesting was the NH presence in Newmarket until the early 20th century; this changed due to the winters.
