i go to watch cricket at durham

usually tv is 8 seconds behind live..timed by my watch

but i have seen live cricket on tv in members lounge which i have timed
to be 18 seconds delay from live.

there are allsorts of notices telling folk you must not relay commentary, to
people not present at ground, on pain of being kicked out.

see "youngsters" betting on their phones at t20 matches but taking
rubbish odds from bookies, ..pity betfair dont still visit sports grounds with
their clinics....not seen one for at least 10 years, ....there would be a huge
benefit to folk to see what they are doing wrong!!

I have severe doubts the BBC would have shown this programme had he won at the end. If those 3 matches had come in, I suspect he would have been forced to lose on summat else. The fact he was done  by 2 late goals made the BBC's day. He could easily have just kept doing the tennis betting to get to his target but wouldn't have been allowed.

We have no idea what bets he really placed, and he even passed up the option to cash out on one of the football bets for £2,500 when 1-0 up with minutes left. All a bit contrived.

Would have been interesting to have been told a bit more detail about the tennis bets, there will have been many that he will have failed to get on, the suspension coming quicker than the time to get on.

if the BBC are gonna focus on anything  they need to follow someone playing the fobts Cry .

bookies odds in sport are usually OK  and probably better odds vs the lottery .

all a bit contrived anyway ..typical shyte from the corporation .... didn't the nervous fellow say one of his mates  wasted his student loan ?...student at Oxbridge ?  .... how come these student types make such bad gamblers ...i thought they were the brains of the nation ?

thought the football bets shown sere hardly based on inside info, ie swansea keeping same side as midweek game, rashford not playing etc.

Odds probably better than the lottery ?????

Lottery retains 50%.
Most other forms 20% retention, giving back 80%.
Many better.
FOBTs actually ... if it is roulette 3% or 6%, depending on how many zeroes.
It’s all about the turnover with them.

lottery odds don't work like that as a certain % of lottery money is put back into the community  ....so the retention isn't as you say

I shouldn't have evn mentioned the lottery in fairness as most folk by a limited number of tickets   .

FOBTs are definitely the problem with 'problem' gamblers

Agree surely most people who don't just stick a pin in check the injuries and suspensions before betting.

on the subject of betting accounts ,i had a long term winning account with one of the big companies ...it was just one where i picked a few outsiders over time and had way above  average luck with it .  No sinister arbing  or anything like that , just a knack of picking  winning horses  for small stakes .

I finally had the account closed  after around 10 years and around 7k up only because i had stopped using the account  and in later years just took advantage of a few free bets  that were emailed  my way  .

So maybe they are just after sharps and not lucky long term punters

not sure how the courtsider even gets way with that practice as  it must look so obvious on all his 'accounts'

I've had accounts restricted without a horse having ran just for backing a shortener and had plenty restricted after 1 winner without taking the P with stakes, have said plenty on this subject on the horse racing forum it's extremely bent and by no means based on money won and lost but that's another story.

You're right about courtsider would be a doddle to sniff out after a few bets imo. would have to chuck in plenty deliberate losers to keep it going.

They will bombard you with emails asking you to make a casino deposit and they'll match it up 100%, you then proceed to do your absolute balls on the slots, losing close to say £10,000....

You then get an email to gamble responsibly, followed by another "come and deposit and we'll..." one

Get pestered to deposit, do your balls in, patronised about needing to gamble responsibly like a 5 year old, then asked to come and do your balls in again

That's the bookies/casinos right there

These casino streamers who are paid to get the smucks in make me laugh as well CrazyCrazy

"remember to gamble responsibly, there's help there if needed, oh and my casino offers are right there so come and do your b0llucks in Happy"

They really do need people to be totally braindead but they get them bless em

This will have been flagged up at 365 towers having there pants pulled down as i understand he didn't normally bet on the tennis never mind parts of the game and then his staking would have been massively over the top compared with his normal bets and he kept winning and winning which is easily flagged up so i was very surprised he was only restricted the day after and not during his winning run courtesy of court siding.

Liquidity would be an issue I think and wouldn't be markets on Mickey Mouse games.

Not so much on a game by game basis as shown on the show last night, but on the outright and set betting, it absolutely would provide an advantage for trading out a position.

Of course, the three/ five second bet submission delay would work against you, that is why it is there, but you would still get some cash on.
