He refuelled on a boat today...tank on his backpack not big enough

is it just me that thinks this was a bit of a cop out, because he stopped on a boat half way across the channel to refuel rather than just hover the whole way across, it's the same with swimming the channel, they have an escort boat with somebody passing you food when you need it. Nothing really solo about these attempts

He refuels once I believe? When they fly "round the world" they are allowed to land so it's not unreasonable I don't think.

People running marathons are allowed to eat energy bars or drink arent they?

If he only stopped once to refuel that is better, although he should really stay in the air while doing it

Marathons take a couple of hours to run and in heat even longer using a great deal of physical work, hover man had a 20 minute cruise over water with a jet pack with no phyiscal exertion required, just thought it was a bit lame he couldn't make a 20 minutes trip without stopping 10 minutes in on a boat

Yea his board has 10 minutes fly time so he stops midway. His fuel backpack doesn't appear THAT big, makes you wonder if he made the engine a little more powerful if he could carry 2x the fuel and do it in one? But it's very impressive for a prototype.

Rather him than me, I'd be losing weight drastically into the back of my underwear if you stuck me on that :)

Pretty crap really. The new one is fairly usable.
Being able to fly a platoon 10 miles is very useful. Wonder how loud it is? Probably not very noticable on radar either.
