Can't the media gather the facts before reporting? its pathetic on their part

Jeez what an incredibly selfish response to this wd done feller - why not write to 'Points of View' ffs? So, off the top of my head, this is the 4th terrorist attack directly linked to Trump, his supporters or what he says - nutter in van in Florida, the coastguard with multiple bombs, lists of targets etc (that was hardly reported) the attack on the local paper and this and that isn't even including just plain old racist mass shootings such as at the synagogue a few months back or any of the other almost daily mass shootings that take place. What a record for a president to have.

Yep  Trump has hate filled rally nearby and a few days later hey presto you have a white right wing nutter killing people.

YOU have to love CNN with the questions they ask

Talking to the Mayor of El Paso anchor asked him

Could you describe to our audience what people would be doing on a Saturday morning at Walmart????Cry

and they wonder why their ratings are tanking

why does the media never cover what happens in some cities most weekends?

9 killed and 39 wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago last weekend no full on media coverage

https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2019/07/29/weekend-shootings-gun-violence-4/

Also this headline from last weekend

when 12 people get shot and America shrugs

https://www.thetrace.org/2019/08/brownsville-brooklyn-shooting/

this is another article about mass shootings detailing mass shootings this year which happen around the country that do not get the attention they deserve.(15 so far)
it is so sad how many children get up in this crisis across the Count

Looks like the media did cover it
By:

When: 04 Aug 19 10:51
Because in America mass shootings are normal so you can't cover everyone globally, therefore only the bigger mass shootings receive international coverage.
By:

When: 04 Aug 19 10:51
The 2nd shooting last night probably would have got no coverage if it hadn't come up on the back of the 1st shooting.
By:

When: 04 Aug 19 10:55
The local station may cover them but this gun crisis needs national coverage every week and maybe just maybe something might get done

but i will not hold my breath

Why people need to have military style weapons is beyond me

It's not a gun issue, just a mental health issue, that's why we won't be putting any more money towards mental health and our first action in power was to make it easier for people with mental health issues to buy guns.

The NRA give politicians grades with A to F that people can look up to see if they are NRA friendly

Nearly all the politicians with a good grade are Republicans

If children shot and killed in school does not affect gun law then shooting of shoppers won't.

All we heard last night was hate crime and mental health ,not a peep on guns.

No sympathy with then at all.

Very brave man...well done

No President yet has attempted to ban guns, they fear they will not be elected

There is a very strong pro gun lobby in the USA

It is very hard to get people to give up something they have grown used to

I can't get sex eitherSad

Still I am not young and don't have a gun, so people are safe with me

On a more serious note, I do wonder if the changing role of women is increasing violence worldwide...too early to say for certain

there many other issues to be considered.

It would not justify this anyway.

If everyone in Texas is carries a gun will this really make them safer?
They used to do that and judging by the films I've seen there were a lot of fatalities, especially round high noon or when the Dalton gang rode into town.

Will they have to check them at the saloon?
By:
UBLE/REGY
When: 04 Aug 19 14:37
YesJust Checking

It was certainly the Wild West

But most of the casualties were men, and both sides were armed, so I don't have a problem with that

Being older, I remember we were brought up on the American Westerns.

What is happening now is in no way comparable. It is the murder of unarmed civilians men, women and children

It represents evil not fair play

Wyatt Earp was actually put on trial after the Gunfight at the OK Corrall

Earp, his brothers and Doc Holiday were cleared of just shooting the Clantons down in cold blood

I am still not sure myself?

Billy the Kid a favourite of mine, his boss was gunned down in cold play, the local corrupt Sherriff would take no action

So Billy took it on himself

There is no comparison to what is happening know. The mindless murder of large numbers of unarmed civilians
