Beekeepers have stated that when a mobile phone mast is placed near a beehive, or near a beekeeping establishment, the bees quickly disappear. They reckon the bees keep 'getting lost', and can't find their way back to the hives.
have heard that before .... then it says the bees use the sun for navigation .
i kmow they're buggered in the dark ... i put one in a little bee bed the other day as it turned up exhausted and she had a few hours kip, then flew off again at first light

I've rescued a few bees over time. If I see a bee on the ground, outside or sometimes in my conservatory, and it looks weak and/or dying, place a small amount of water near it, and sprinkle some sugar on it (the water, not the bee!)The bee hopefully will drink the water, recover after a little while, and fly away. My neighbour has a large amount of dahlias and chrysanths this year, every day there's loads of bees buzzing around.Look after our bees, they're essential to our survival.
Very true....we've got to stop climate change or we will all be toast (....including the bees)
