Freedom of speech I think he was exercising, expressing his views in a peaceful manner one might say, some one complains, then Mr Plod and chums arrive, and arrest him.....................

yep, sounds like someone's trying to make himself into a "social media personality".

Won't someone start the collection for his million pound house?

Won't come out for real crimes such as burglaries but question a belief in fairies and they can't get there fast enough.

A Scottish man has been arrested, jailed, but ultimately found not guilty by a Scottish judge.

Can't wait until the mainstream media has been replaced by DIY journalists of the calibre of this geezer.

Someone claims the guy being arrested is wanting to be a media personality with 1000 views and then questions the value of his house rather than the subject, how very strange.

What's strange about it?

He's clearly an attention seeking cretin, painting the front of his house, whipping out his phone when the bizzies come.

We've seen it before. If you're talentless or thick then you can still make a nice living if you make yourself into a figure and set up a PayPal account. Enough mugs out there willing to hand over their dough.

Well if he can't write that surely it means the state is saying that it "cannot be questioned", which should be food for thought ... for those capable of thinking.

People with an actual liberal mind believe in freedom of speech and generally that things should be questioned.

No surprise that those who would call themselves liberals (but are in fact left fascists) believe freedom of speech should be limited to what they agree with and people questioning things they don't want questioned should be thrown in a cell. From our universities to your front door the thought police are watching.

Why did he edit out or omit to film the statement that he'd painted on his house?

Like JC, I too address my question to "those capable of thinking".

Because it would have entailed saying "can you all come outside while you try to arrest me and we'll film a wide shot"?

I'd like to see it myself. Strange how in NI they have loads of political "artwork" that many might deem offensive (like glorifying terrorists) that stays up with nobody arrested, and Banksy makes endless political "art" and makes millions out of it. It's almost as if there is one thing only that can never be remotely criticised.

I've a feeling, judging by the way he speaks and his interior decoration, it would be painted on the front of his house in the post impressionist style, in an autumnal palette.

I see. If it was me I'd have filmed it beforehand just so I could provide some context to my final video production.

If its a crime writing it then its not a good idea filming it and posting.

The video was uploaded last week. Clearly after he got released, as he spent 5 weeks in jail.

Not a good idea posting the text on internet when you went to jail for it? Or can he post now since he was found not guilty?

Well you've all that made up showbiz experience with that unfunny comedian to fall back on, this man is an amateur.

I'm guessing he answered the door (didn't even know they were coming?) and whipped his phone out. He didn't even have a CGI budget.

Putting a fairly ambivalent comment about a subject along side another is not having a go at anything,in this case it only went to show what you what you aren't allowed to pass comment on he wasn't linking them at all.

Islam is questionable even to those who follow the faith, look at the variations of Islam all over the world with different views and extremes of participation.
Those who choose to practice a liberal kind of Islam in this country will almost certainly find questionable some of the teachings of Sharia and Wahhabism.
Would have thought it was likely that some Islamists don't agree with throwing homosexuals off buildings or being sexually active with children or being allowed to rape white females of any age for example.

Apart from the fez, of course. The fez is everyone's favourite comedy headwear.
