ok let me put a lid on it,ONCE AND FOR ALL TIME

The temperatures in the upper thermosphere are about 4000 degrees fahrenheit .now thats hot,very hot,all metal would melt in seconds,and its on the way to the moon.NOW apollo 11 went through the thermosphere.the guys would sizzle within seconds.red hot poker temperatures ,and a poker made quartzite would be lucky to get through it.
and quartzite is indestructible rock.MAN LANDS ON MOON,HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE
