during my ban from here, i came across this radio programme on bbc radio 4 extra, never heard of it, and nobody mentioned it on here.Wilfred hyde white and Richard murdoch, and then Deryck guyler took over from wilfred, this was a fantastic comedy.

Very good indeed. There was many great comedies on Radio back in the day. They are all available on Ebay. MFTM 141 episodes on cd for £2.99.

my fav was when there was a bunch of soldiers on an island somewhere in scotland i think, and the ministry had forgotten to tell them the war was over nearly 30 years agoLaugh/

Well, joking aside, there were many reports of Japanese soldiers being found on some of their islands in the mid 70s who didn't know the war was over because they hadn't heard the Emperor's call to surrender.

In fact, I think there were a couple of such individuals found as recently as 2004.Shocked
