Aye,used to go to the Winter Gardens for the Matchplay darts this week was always lathered and too hot to move.

The old days at the Winter Gardens were summat else Denzil. Now it's the same circus turning up from Ally Pally. Not for me any more either.

Started work at 630 to avoid the worst of it. Finished by 12.

My brother went Tuesday and Wednesday this week I haven't been to any events for years now was put off after the last Premier League night at Newcastle Arena definitely not the same nobody was interested in the darts,one good thing more players are making some decent money but I'll likely not be back.

Last event I went to was a Premier League night also, at the Ricoh in Cov. Rubbish.

YO8 - How lucky you are to be near York.  I like it around there - York, Thirsk, Sutton Bank, Moors and Dales.  Lovely.  Also, OP, I've just suddenly clicked as to what your name means.

I've never been to York before, from what I've read though the racecourse is fantastic but there are quite a few Northerners up there by all accounts which puts me off a little bit.

Incidentally ,if you could be bothered to look , it was 22 c in Lerwick today as it was yesterday   It was also  32c in Bergen  (normally the rainiest dullest place in the galaxy )
