31 degrees in the shade here in YO8....

Totally melting in the sun, and it's days like this that i'm glad it's cool in my place!

Actually 18.5 degrees, but it feels much cooler...

Highest ever, was after a three day period of highish outside temps, when it hit 19.5...

Watching on TV...... The Australian Gold and Opal Miners, and god knows how they can work in 40 degrees every day!

My clock has a thermometer and it is reading 29.8 degrees.  I've just had a cold shower, my third of the day thus far, and am sitting here in the Ancient Greek fashion.

Dulwich Village, it's 37C and very humid. All the windows are open and my poor Muttley is struggling big time. He is going to the groomers in Beckenham on Tuesday for his Summer 'short, back and sides'.

He never has ice cubes in his water kenny, the poor little fella is pegged out in front of the fan in the front room as I'm watching the racing. He is going to get a proper trim next week to help him cool down. I hope all is going well with you mate Wink

YO8 - How lucky you are to be near York.  I like it around there - York, Thirsk, Sutton Bank, Moors and Dales.  Lovely.  Also, OP, I've just suddenly clicked as to what your name means. Happy
Report SlippyBlue July 25, 2019 6:47 PM BST
I've never been to York before, from what I've read though the racecourse is fantastic but there are quite a few Northerners up there by all accounts which puts me off a little bit. Scared

BBC are now calling all of us pansy's because of the constant tripe they spout about hot weather CrazyCrazy

They spout the rubbish but we're the pansies, if there was ever an award for trolling the media would come stone last for sheer stupidity
Report SontaranStratagem July 28, 2019 7:11 PM BST
They had a reporter on a beach last week literally putting words in peoples mouth

"how are you dealing with it all? you are hot but how are you dealing with it, you staying in the shade?"

Paraphrasing but that's how it sort of went, yesterday they put out an article basically calling us all whingers ffs LaughLaugh

I can't wrap my head around their stupidity, but its high time they were shut down ffs

It's GLOBAL warming Idiots !!!  not just what happens here in England  ...otherwise known as Climate change .

Incidentally ,if you could be bothered to look , it was 22 c in Lerwick today as it was yesterday Laugh  It was also  32c in Bergen  (normally the rainiest dullest place in the galaxy )

If this is a normal 'event cycle' then  it's cycling pretty damned fast  Shocked
Report SontaranStratagem July 28, 2019 7:48 PM BST
No such thing as man made climate change

Its just a normal event cycle as you alluded to above, nothing will happen other than the odd heat wave
Report Coachbuster July 28, 2019 8:12 PM BST
