While I was watching earlier, the beeb went to some of his other friends. Jo Swinson & Keir Starmer. After them 2, the cricket was 1.01!

Both spoke of Rhetoric and no meat on the bones at BJs speech.
That is normal in these circumstances. The detail comes later from the relevant Ministers.
They know that of course but why let that stop them.

I commented on this on other thread. When Cameron stepped down, Labour had the adult politeness to clap. When Blair stepped down, the Tories clapped, etc. It's AFAIK tradition and happens as a mark of respect for their public service etc.

When the childish student politician SNP and Corbyn are involved though, sitting there with their silly ****ing student politics protest badges on basking in their perceived moral superiority, they "no platform" May and show the other children of the revolution their righteousness like it's a sit in outside the union.

And as I mention on other thread, it's the likes of Labour and the SNP who say there's too much hate and division and disrespect in politics and it's the "right" causing it. Just hypocrisy, as usual.

Is it really a tradition? It was invented by Cameron when Blair left office, presumably at least in part to embarrass Brown. Before then, clapping was banned in the House of Commons.
