Apologies if this has already been posted but went to see this earlier today having read absolutely nothing about it.

I can be a bit of a ditz, granted, but it took me a good 15-20 slackjawed minutes to figure out that I was actually watching 50 year old documentary footage and not a modern day re-creation. I just could not, and still can’t quite get my head around the quality of the images playing out in front  of me. Like gaining access to a portal into some kind of twisted retro-futurist dimension, otherworldly, unreal and absolutely beautiful. Superlatives, for once, have failed me. 70mm heaven.

Here’s the trailer…

Good job I didn’t see the IMAX version, my entire mechanism would have most likely blown. Can’t recommend enough, if you haven’t seen, go see, on the big screen where it belongs. 9.5/10

The finest thing about the sheer volume of media coverage celebrating this anniversary is that it has the conspiracy theorist MUGS absolutely SEETHING. Some might even combust in rage but let's not worry about that. They deserve it for trying to pick ludicrous holes in one of mankind's greatest achievements.

They should all get together somewhere in one giant convention where the can w*nk themselves raw looking at images of a flag that appears to be blowing in the wind, non-parallel shadows and all the other nonsense that fills their vacuous little minds.

F**kwits, the lot of them.

so much fake film to see, must have taken quite a plot to do all this whilst the world tracked the flights
with astronauts sat in a film studio in area 51.

getting all them footprints on lunar surface so that the japanese can take photos of em too, stroke of
genius, must have had some great robots to do that.

Japanese pics of footprints on the moon.

Looks like they took Jake the Peg along with them if these shots are anything to go by.

I'm watching the Apollo 11 Press Conference. It's over an hour and I doubt I'll watch it all. It's pretty tedious.

Aldrin, Collins and especially Armstrong look and sound absolutely gutted! It's like a wake except no sandwiches and cheerful anecdotes..

Very odd. It's like they're on trial. No sense of relief, excitement nor pride.

Very defensive performances and body language Injera. It's like they expect a bombshell to be dropped any minute.

Excellent post JM still doesn't stop some f**kwits from posting though and making themselves look even more stupid than they usually do.

DR C - to me they look utterly deflated. It's like an unwelcome press conference after a disappointing world cup campaign.

They talk about the experience as if it was a total washout and not the greatest achievement of all time.

this is one of the major gullibility identifiers

find the moon landing deniers , get them on youtube, then get them to fund them

job done
Report Whisperingdeath • July 21, 2019 6:36 PM BST
I am not denying the moon landings took place but I am questioning where the images we were fed were filmed!

Did we have the technology back then to send the live pictures back to Earth undamaged?
Report Dr Crippen • July 21, 2019 6:51 PM BST
Of course no moon landing conspiracy thread would be complete without mentioning the man of God and his reluctance to swear on the Bible.

''Put your hand on the Bible and swear you walked on the moon.''

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFSt-vcD6Xk

Oh, ''and five thousand dollars for any charity of your choosing.''

Pretty conclusive I'd say.

ah more youtube links...

whispering there is a film called " the dish " that has some info about the aussie station
that picked up the signals of moon walks, and relayed them to usa.

obviously its only a film but you can look up the technicals.

So the dimwits have now gone off trying to prove anything scientifically wrong and have now gone on to spurious suggestions.

I once asked a recent poster who got me a warning to say it wasn't them. They wouldn't.

Proof?

As stated on earlier forums when in New York for Holyfield-Lewis 1, I was taken back to the airport by a Russian taxi driver who assured me the moon landing was filmed in a studio in Arkansas!

How do you know that I asked?

He told me the KGB told him. So that is gospel, it must be true!

People who need to feel unique or appear better or smarter than others may find it irresistible to propound theories that cast them as having special access to the truth. Especially if, under the blustery façade, they actually aren’t too sure of themselves.
