Agree with lfc here. Regardless of the country, whether it is the UK or Ireland or the USA or Russia, most people within each country are broadly patriotic to their homeland. This 'internationalist' view espoused by Labour to a very large extent and to the Democrats to a lesser degree in the US, is a major turn off for the average voter. Sinn Fein across Ireland also suffering from a crisis of identity, an older more working class and socially conservative cohort coming up against some younger SJW types. Nationally I feel the Dems in the States know that 'The Squad' are not able to garner the national vote. The 2020 election has started. Dems will have to reign them in and will be happy for this to blow over. Liberal media most likely won't let it go, usual hand wringing. Immigration could be a defining issue of the 2020 election.

Just a few words from the Don and all hell breaks loose.

"If you are not happy, if you are complaining all the time, you can leave," he told a heated news conference outside the White House

What's wrong with that?

Irrespective of whether there is anything wrong with it or not, there is a huge potential of political point scoring in what he said. For both sides.

Trump's supporters like that kind of an attitude. Trump feeds it to them every now and then.

There is no bad publicity getting into a fight with Donald Trump.

Its politics. People just try to make too much sense of it. That's the problem.

No it’s not politics , you see there is freedom to vote for the president in America and in other countries there is no freedom to vote , it’s life
and death
