I was sexually abused when I was a boy aged 11 .
The person who abused me is a relative . After it happened , I never told a single soul .
Month's later , I tried to tell my 14 year old Brother about it , but he told me to go away .

That incident damaged me badly , 10 years later I got drunk and at 3 am ,  I phoned the The Samaritans to
tell them about it and I cried my eyes out .

The helpful lady Police Officer I talked to on Monday , told me that the ball is now in their court , they
will run checks on the computer about that person whose name I gave and if anything interesting
emerges , I'll then be contacted and asked to make a statement .

I'm glad I went into that Police Station yesterday , I should have done it years ago .

Thank you to the Shrewd_ Dude , and The Leopard for they're opinions about it when I mentioned
it on the 'I'm going to Paris ' thread .

I'll give an update here if I hear anything back from the cops .

So was I.  When I was 6 and also by a relative.  It happened a few times.  "Don't tell anyone" they said and so naturally, being a kid, I told my mum.  It was all hushed up (and did stop) but I realised as I got older that it was put under the carpet in order to protect the abuser and that annoys me.  My girlfriend knows, but that is all.  I won't be going to the police for two reasons.  Firstly, sheer embarrassment of having family members look at me and *imagine*.  Secondly, I can't prove it.  It's my word against his and I know which side my mum, the one person I told, would back.  I can't say it's affected me in the way it does other people.  The thing that gets me is the way it was covered up and the abuser now has a successful career in the city and everyone thinks the sun shines out of his arse.  I sometimes find myself thinking of ways I could damage his life.  Not through violence; that would simply result in my getting into trouble and he's not worth that.  But there are other, more subtle, ways that people can have "bad luck".  Maybe I will, maybe I won't.  Good luck with your case, though.

Thank you for that contribution , lybertyne .

As it happens my abuser also has a very good job , highly paid , etc . Well he did have 3 years ago ,
I was then told that he was in Hospital and near deaths door after having had serious heart trouble .
He recovered but I don't know if he then retired or not .

By the way , he could possibly be a member of the betfair forum because he loves gambling , despite him being p1ss poor at it .
The last time I saw him was at my mothers funeral 10 years ago and I heard him talking about placing over
a grand on a horse in The Gold Cup at Cheltenham . I heard him say he placed that bet at Betfair .
That bet lost . He's going to lose again if this thing goes to court .

lybertyne , You know what , I was so so sexually naive when I was aged 11 , I thought babies came out of a
woman's belly button  , I'm not joking .

I'm proper chinned up , Mate . I feel Great !

I've never felt better or more able , in all my life .

Paris , threw the f00kin kitchen sink of negativity at me and I did seriously buckle at times
but I took it all on the chin and when I happily returned to England , I returned The Victor .

My next little adventure abroad will be to Rome . Maybe next month , not sure
because I've got a lot on my plate at the moment .

By the way , Baphornet ' I think you're one of the best chit chatters here .

All The Very Best To You .

Ps , Any chance I could meet your
beautiful lady someday , ha ha .

I only hope the The very many beautiful woman of Rome are kind to me , The Management .
But I'm not greedy , I'll happily just settle for one beauty .

I've actually got a few beauties on the go at the minute , but that's OK because all those lovelies understand that
it's all just fun and games . I don't tell lies to any of them
and I never will .

Very brave of you both to share your stories on here, sometimes it really can help to talk anonymously on this forum and we certainly are, between us, a very eclectic and sympathetic bunch of people. I wish you both the very best whatever the outcome, best of luck.

UPDATE .

I was contacted the following day by The Police Officer who I spoke to
at The Police Station on Monday . She gave me a reference number .

I was then contacted by a police detective yesterday and informed by her that she
would like to speak to me in about a months time when she returns from her holiday .

I got the impression from her that something interesting may have been found
about Nutjob when they ran his name into the police computer .

I'll know for sure when I meet and speak to her next month .

Are you certain they're taking this seriously. Not exactly pulling up any trees is she? Sounds a little like she's saying "Sorry to hear you've been rogered senseless, I'll take a look at it when I'm back from Mykonos".

I very much sensed that she was taking it seriously , Johnny .

She told me she was about to holiday in Rhyl , by the way .

You ever been there , Johnny ?

I believe it's a complete dump now ,
but I loved going there as a kid .

A very sensitive , and some would say , emotional thread including personal accounts from two very brave posters . It may prove valuable to anyone else out there who may have experience similar traumas who maybe don't have the courage to speak out .

And then we have the obligatory nonsensical garbage from the forum funt who , as ever , attempts to trivialise an otherwise very serious thread Sad

I bin through it en route to Conwy.

To @Culvin and @Lybertyne : I sincerely hope you both , and others who have had similar experiences , are able one day to put all of this behind you . My heart goes out to you both Love
