Completely out of touch with reality. I thought Philip Davies was the worst toryscum MP but he's been usurped by hunt the ****.

Might as well bring back the slave trade, capital punishment...part of our heritageCry

How is this even back on the table? I thought we were moving in the opposite, more progressive direction by banning angling and horse racing.

Has there ever been a time where the potential leaders have been such tw@ts? Seems relentless day in day out calling these lot ****s yet one will run the country.

Hunt isnt even close to being as much of a horrible **** as Davies is

I'm not aware of exactly what was said but factually speaking it is correct . Historically , Fox Hunting is very much a quintessentially 'British thing' therefore it is part of our heritage . Similarly , Bull Fighting is part of Spanish heritage . As uncomfortable as this may be it is still a fact . It doesn't necessarily mean that it is a pursuit that should be allowed to continue but we cannot deny that it ever existed . There are those who are in favour of Fox Hunting and there are many more who are opposed to it .
Morris Dancing is also part of our heritage . Another pastime that I am not comfortable with but there's no denying the existence of Morris dancers .

Coverage of this is an insult to one's intelligence. Also today Bojo is promising a "good brexit"!!! - WTF?

When this race is run there won't be anyone any wiser, it's all soundbites & vague promises. Watch out UK, it's coming to you soon & you won't know what's hit you.

“I would vote to repeal the ban on fox hunting,” Mr Hunt told the Telegraph. “I would as soon as there was a majority in parliament that would be likely to repeal the fox hunting ban, then I would support a vote in parliament.”

“It is part of the countryside,” he added. “And we have to recognise that in terms of the balance of the countryside. You know, it’s part of our heritage.”

What other practices, once legal but now outlawed, would Jeremy vote to legalise?

they want the hunt through the streets of mayfair to clear the urban foxes, they could maybe hire the queens horses once a week
Report lybertyne July 4, 2019 9:56 AM BST
FGM is part of African heritage and honour killings are part of Islamic heritage.

Perhaps Mr Hunt would like to watch a terrified, exhausted fox being ripped apart by dogs.  Or perhaps he'd like to watch fox cubs being thrown to dog packs to 'train' them.  People who get pleasure from such activities should be on a police watch list because they obviously have perverse and degenerate brains.  If they enjoy that, what else might they be enjoying?

you,ve got to be some sort of foooking idiot to get yourself dragged in to a debate about fox hunting, rather worrying the same foooking idiot is stoking up the rhetoric with china

Renard : it’s never ever been remotely established that the majority of people wanted fox hunting banned ,there was however close to 1m people who marched through London in favour ,I doubt the antis could have raised 5-10 thousand in a pro hunting ban .What there was though was a load of twisted lefties hell bent on delivering a blow to perceived “toffs “ ,fact of the matter was the colleraterial damage to working class hunters was far bigger . Was never ever proven to be a consensus amoungst the wider electorate for a ban then or now .In fact the amount of parliament time wasted on the ban and the subsequent use of the (parliament act ?) was a disgrace ,they ignored all the advice and recommendations and produced poorly thought out  bad legislation .
Report Reynard July 4, 2019 1:17 PM BST
breadnbutter : When I said 'there are many more opposed to it' I may indeed have fallen into the trap of believing that the loudest voices were the majority and if that is the case then I withdraw that comment and sincerely apologise Blush
Personally I have no opinion with regard to the hunting of foxes in this manner because , despite a semi-rural upbringing , I don't know enough about the subject and essentially my knowledge is based almost wholly on what I have gleaned from the arguments put forward by those on either side of the divide .
I am torn between my intense dislike of animal cruelty (indeed any form of cruelty) and my awareness of the detrimental effect of vermin on some rural industries and , as you say , the collateral damage that the hunting ban has potentially caused .

Always thought they should be breath tested, drinking stirrup cup then ploughing round the countryside on a ton of horse trampling any serf that gets in the way and blowing a trumpet at the same time. Madness.

Chasing the fox is the minor cruelty.
The fox is chased by hounds.
The hounds eat meat.
Many horses are not good enough to be trained, about 50%.
They are destroyed.
The meat is used to feed ....... ?

As a 'Gentleman' I am opposed to such a pursuit, preferring the ancient, more dignified art of fisticuffs with said Vulpes. A most satisfying sport where both combatants leave 'the ring' with honour, and share a swift half afterwards, Wink.
