just been on tv they've made a film of local brewer Vaux about its closure 20 years ago
they had Samson ale

mackems drunk vaux and geordies had scottish and newcastle. ( and fed) asking for a pint of scotch down sarf allways brought a decent reaction |

pub close to me sold the best IPA 80 bob in middesbrough,sunday dinner time they,d have a 100 half pulled pints on the bar waiting for head to settle,ready to fill up and all would be gone in mins,back in the day
