Saw this at the Cinema the week it came out, really enjoyed it, not quite as good as Senna but still absorbing.I was to young to watch Maradona live at the time, so to see him play made me realise why he is held up as the best ever. What I got from the film was sympathy for the guy. It's quite obvious his final years at Napoli drove him off the tracks and that it wasn't all his own doing. The pressure the guy must of been under would have been immense, from the over the top adulation of the fans, the insane press intrusion into his private life and the Mafia getting their nose in the trough, you can't blame him for 'finding ways to relax'. It seems he had no protection from this at all and came across as vulnerable to exploitation, and people took full advantage, as they do.......................................
