Charity Mermaids UK, which supports gender diverse and transgender children, said it "loves that Prince William supports LGBTQ children".

A taxpayer-funded transgender charity has been banned by the High Court from any contact with a family after the mother, who was being advised by the group, forced her seven-year-old son to live as a girl.

The latest accounts for Mermaids UK, published last week, reveal it has been granted £35,000 by the Department for Education (DfE) and a total of £138,000 by the national lottery’s Awards for All fund and the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.

It can also be revealed that until last week Mermaids was advertising “same day” cross-sex hormone treatment for children. NHS guidelines do not allow the treatment, which causes irreversible bodily changes and can compromise fertility, for anyone under 16.

The only reason Pride, LBGT corespondents etc  exist is because of homophobia, if people where accepted, non of it would be necessary.

Fair enough creatureinthesky I'm of the opinion that the homophobia card is massively overplayed.

Who's the correspondent for the S&M community?

If you look at the homophobic attacks on the 2 women in London recently, and the stabbing in Liverpool I believe it shows that whenever you create and 'Us v Them' scenario, attacks like these usually follow.
Casual homophobia is the thin end of the wedge that makes it ok.

I was putting those kind of attacks down to the idiocy of the perpetrators but can see your point,it's like that lunatic from Cardiff that drove into the people outside the mosque.
