The contestants on IACGMOOH go back to a luxury hotel every evening. Also, many of the trials are actually undertaken by body doubles. |

Btw, I assume TIYL is now defunct and not being presented by some ex-BBer on a double-digit channel?

There is no "Family Fortunes" survey. The figures are made up. (This is my nap selection.)

G call Family Fortunes IMO

I'm only being semi-serious re TIYL and even less so with IAC but I'm not joking at all about FF.
Of course, that doesn't mean I'm right. |
|
By:
It is certainly untrue about This Is Your Life .

FF..very easy to survey 100 people now, what with internet but back in the day,not so I would say. Much easier and cheaper to dream up the answers.
|
|
By:
Family Fortunes was based on REAL surveys, I used to provide them.
My favourite method was to walk around a local cemetery and survey the residents. They were always willing participants, having plenty of time on their hands and grateful for the attention that you gave them. |

Wind turbines. Sometimes there is barely a breeze yet the massive blades are whizzing round. I know they are high off the ground but they're not that high. I reckon they have motors in them so when it isn't windy they can still turn and give the impression of 'working'.

Was it Brian Clough who said that when the referee goes to consult his linesman, they don't discuss the incident, he asks him what he's having for his tea?

The programmes where people go in and clean up a residential property...
Do you think they're all genuine or set up? |

Do the Chasers throw the game in the celebrity shows for charity? |

those storage wars programs where bidders buy the contents of a storage locker with a padlock on that someone has left or forgotten about ,always something in the corner with a tarpuline over that turns out to be worth a small fortune or sometimes an expensive car has been left for years and it always starts up ....yes and the guys who own the storage place would never have had first look to see if there was anything worth money in them would they !

Punters on 'Antiques Roadshow' who respond to experts' valuations with, "I was hoping it would be worth five times that", are deleted from the broadcast.

In that program - is it Fugitive? - where people go "on the run" and the studio-based team have to find them, I reckon they're tracked by the camerman crew's mobile signals.
"Hm, I see George spent 10 minutes at Crewe railway station while travelling to Scotland 25 years ago. We happen to have a team near Crewe now. Go and see if you can find George" |

What about the apparent surveys for ‘Pointless’?

What about the apparent surveys for ‘Pointless’?
Seems unlikely. I could be wrong but in the closing credits, isn't there a reference to a research organisation? I can't comment on other programmes because I don't watch them but the one moving its way to the top of my list is the Chasers letting the celebs win in the charity shows. |
