No 1 policy announced to give high earners more money.

Likely not be up against a left wing labour party at the next election, so why not aim for the centre ground.  FFS.

The centre ground thinks he's an idiot.
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 2:40 PM BST
no they don't
Report mouse muldoon June 10, 2019 2:45 PM BST
Well he was long assumed to be playing the clown but then he got the foreign sec job and proved it beyond doubt.
Report mouse muldoon June 10, 2019 2:46 PM BST
And as pointed out by the OP, his latest move aint exactly smart.
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 2:52 PM BST
wrong on all counts. The only ones who think he's an "idiot" are European dummies; & of course the media who perpetrated that myth in the first place. You don't become Mayor of London twice if you're an "idiot" or indeed a Foreign Sec
Report mouse muldoon June 10, 2019 2:57 PM BST
Hopefully the Eurodummies will prove easier for him to negotiate with than those Iranian chaps.
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 3:11 PM BST
you can't even see which "European dummies" i meant

Because this is a bit for the leadership of the Conservative party, not a general election.
Report Jack Hacksaw June 10, 2019 4:04 PM BST
I know, but don't the party want to win the general election?
Report mouse muldoon June 10, 2019 4:05 PM BST
You'd think.
Report mouse muldoon June 10, 2019 4:06 PM BST
Perhaps the doc knows otherwise?

No truer word spoken.
Party before country.

I cant wait btw until it comes to the nation having another go at these c unts, as much as they attempt to keep the electorate out of it
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 4:51 PM BST
the members are of the opinion that only Bozo can win them the next GE; & they are probably right looking at his oppo. They can't magic up a Thatcher, Twunt today promised Mordaunt the same Cabinet post she now possesses in front of the worlds press, as if he was the new PM. The members will crucify him for that even if he got into the final two. No one else, except maybe Raab would get the members votes. There will now, over the next 10 days be an all-out assault on Bozo by the dummies & the media. And of course the dummies everywhere else, that will mean zilch to the members who already have their 'man'

you don't get to be mayor of London if your an idiot,
boris
khan
livingstone

you can retract that remark anytime you like, been an idiot looks like a prerequisite to be mayor of london

no need for a retraction; you need to understand what the word "idiot" means. Have a look
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:06 PM BST
you can add your apology anytime

He was obviously very popular back then but do you think he would have much of a shot of winning the mayoralty in 2020? A lot has changed in 10 years.

Boris cultivates this buffoonish personality himself, certainly ain't a creation just of those who want to make money off him or dislike him

Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:16 PM BST
he used to play to the masses, but as you suggested; times have changed. Unfortunately, plenty has not changed, including the media
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:18 PM BST
btw, if you think i'm a Bozo fan, you couldn't be more wrong

Borris would be my choice for leader. He would lead the Tories to electoral suicide! Far from being the man to keep Corbyn at bay he may well be the the galvanising force Corby needs to overcome his own short comings. Not saying I want a Corbyn and his pals to be in charge of the country either. What a dilema!
Report 1st time poster June 10, 2019 5:31 PM BST
what happened to the tory,s encouraging pension savings boris policy takes all those between 45 and 80 grand out of 40% pension tax relief
Report PorcupineorPineapple June 10, 2019 5:38 PM BST
The man earns 750,000 a year from "The media".

He understands reputation, branding, image as well as anyone. Forget about him being tarnished. He's simply not very good. He has a catalogue of failures behind him. And that's before you talk about his character; his various affairs, trying to get a critic hurt etc etc. He's had the media fawning over him for years because he looks funny and is good for a soundboard. Without the media propping him up, he'd have been consigned to the back benches never to be seen again.

As a country, we should be forced to remove the Great from our name if he was ever put in charge frankly.
Report 1st time poster June 10, 2019 5:42 PM BST
10 candidates 9 referred to by their full names one reffered to as boris by all in media, wont the electoral commission get involved
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:44 PM BST
he's still not an "idiot"
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:45 PM BST
in fact pineapple gives him a better CV than ever i could
Report 1st time poster June 10, 2019 5:47 PM BST
I actually thought his 1st name was YOUNO, because after every gaffe, racist remark the media, fellow mp,s always refer to him as YOU NO BORIS, Laugh
Report The Management June 10, 2019 5:50 PM BST
Surely people are becoming accustomed to us being the laughing stock of the world. On that basis Boris seems the obvious choice.
Report Baphornet June 10, 2019 5:55 PM BST
i'd prefer the nutcase back rather than Gove or Twunt becoming PM. That's the kind of field Bozo is up against. And it's The Partys own fault
Report PorcupineorPineapple June 10, 2019 7:12 PM BST
To be fair, we've become an idiocracy. Who better really?
