I was lucky enough to be at Knebworth to see Queen live. Freddie, as usual, was immense. There has been no bigger showman in my opinion than Freddie.

If you don't like him my post will fall on deaf ears. But as a live performer, he has no match.

Pink Floyd at Earls Court, Knebworth, and Afan Lido Port Talbot. Roger Waters at Wembley.

Other bands (distant second imo), Sabbath, Purple, Maiden, Motorhead, Fleetwood, Rainbow, and more.

Another concert that I went to, which was an awesome spectacle I might add, was Jean-Michel Jarre at Docklands

Incredible Slippy but not all plain sailing. The concert was put back from (if memory serves) September to October. One night was p1ssing down and the other was absolutely freezing (the night I went on) but lighting up the docklands the way he did was, as you say, absolutely amazing. Even in the bitter cold it was worth the wait.

When I come to think of it .it was none of those that I mentioned .The biggest one was the group the stilt walkers.
They didn't have any hit records ,but when on stage they fell over each other to try and give you an experience that even those who didn't like their music would never forget

Sid the stilt (as he was known to his fans )was the biggest member of the group .and at the end of each gig .he did not smash his guitar on the floor of the stage he was unique
He smashed it on the ceiling .once smashing the light bulbs and fusing the electric system which lead to total blackout of the theatre .if that's not rock and roll I don't know what is

The fans loved it especially the boys who groped the girls in the dark arena as they vacated their seats to exit
There was one girl who was screaming as though she didn't like the sexual attention of the male fans
But my friend Maureen who is an usheerrette said that it was all an act as she was the very last one to leave the arena.andcshe had a big smile on her face

Jean-Michel Jarre - Destination Docklands was probably the 'biggest' show I ever saw (reportedly 250,000 attended plus light show was witnessed by many more) but the biggest band I ever saw is Pink Floyd , in terms of record sales / popularity .

It's shocking when you think about how The Edge blew most of that on black beanie caps made from Unicorn pubes.

I was at same Concert as Slippy  to see Springstein in 85, saw Queen the day we heard John Lennon had died, Freddie sang Imagine that night, seemed like yesterday.

The actual video is of a different concert but the voice  recording was from that night.

U2 NIA About
The Who Wembley 1979 I think.

Incidentally, I just noticed that Ticketmaster have a flash sale this weekend on The Who at Wembley 6 July 2019.  BOGOF.

Seems strange, but looking at the site it seems legit.
