Why doesn't Corbyn resign?

the tories did amazingly badly - worst ever electoral performance by a government, i hear

But their votes have been counted as part of the combined Lab/Gre/Lib/Con/SNP coalition remain party, A_T

Remain smashed it last night, Brexit took the MEPs but Remain still smashed it and won

The Tory wounds can easily be healed by delivering Brexit.

While Labour's problems will remain, as long as they continue to pursue an extreme left-wing agenda with a leadership that must be the least talented in history of the Labour party.

New Labour is extreme left-wing to you

corbyn should resign and being the next tory leader doesn't seem to be a appetising job.

Corbin's right hand man John McDonnell, and the serving Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer is a self confessed Marxist.

How much further to the left can you go?

Emily Thornberry(labour) took out of the election the people want a 2nd referendum.

Which has little or nothing to do with the opening (trolling) question.

As it happens, quite a few Labour politicians are a bit Blairite and have a dig at Corbyn (along with most of the media) whenever possible, because it might upset their gravy train a bit if he was elected.

The fact remains, however, that people want vehemently, to uphold a democratic result. Unless they don't like the result.

New Labour is extreme left-wing to you aaronh

Dr C will always be Tory...

as is his right

Time for Crippen to resign, his trolling skills have waned pitifully since he returned from the ban.

BBC coverage last night was very anti Labour. You would never have thought the ruling party were doing 10 times worse.

Corbyn knows that last night isnt really relevant to the GE and if the shambles of a govt continue as badly as they have been he can still be in power by xmas.

Why would he resign now?

true

It's not a direct link, but it shows a real failure of Labour Brexit policy. GE data has Labour losing like half their current seats in London, and they've still got no chance in Scotland, no chance of a majority then, won't even get most seats if that's true.

Unless you think the next election will be unbelievably fractured and a party with like 200 seats will have most seats of course.

Will the brexit party put up candidates in a general  election??

Yes, and that's when the nutcases will come out the woodwork, as it was with UKIP.

Yes and depending on the context of why it's happening and when it is it could be very fractured. You could end up with like a 3 way coalition being needed to form a government.

Would be funny if either of the main parties ended up as the junior partner in a coalition.

Most Labour voters are at last waking up to the fact that the Labour leadership is taking the party to hell in handcart, and oblivion at the polls.

Is that not apparent now with following their appalling MEP results?

Leader-for-Life Corbyn admires less-than-fragrant Dictators who set their own leaving dates. Usually in a coffin, or at gunpoint after the country is liberated.

His enormous vanity surely won't allow him to resign, even in a week which has heaped even more shame on him than is usual.

Providing that Momentum can't find someone more "ideologically pure" he will be staying for some time yet I would imagine. Corbyn thus remains a far bigger threat to Britain than Brexit, whether there is a deal or not.

Corbyn isn’t a leader really.
He follows conference policy.

He will be getting my vote.

Jeremy Corbyn - the ONLY leader of a UK political party that went into the European Elections with the unequivocal praise of an Islamic Fundamentalist cult ringing loudly in his ears.

Praise which neither he, or any significant person in Labour did anything to disassociate himself from. Maybe they needed the block vote of The Religion of Peace, given that Labour's last remaining core voter group now?

Let me guess. That's BS as well ?

Taken from that doubtless Right-Wing Extremist publication, erm, The Independent.

That's a sound post alun2005.

But rings too true for most socialists to stomach.

Steady on, SF.
Not quite accurate.
I’ve heard the Morning Star say nice things about him and I for one never read the Mail.
Many of us can think for ourselves.

Hey, Mouse, is that a selfie?

Jezza , early 80s, primitive art phase.

You’ll upset SF if you’re not careful, Moz.

Most RC, not all.

The "Everyone else is biased, can't think for themself and is wrong, unlike me" lecture continues unabated.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but I currently have bets outstanding on who is going to be prime minister after the next general election.  I am pretty sure that corbyn was among the favourites but now he is trading at 49\1!! Does someone know something we don't? I have forgotten how to see his previous odds, can someone remind me?

Annie you click the "chart" symbol far left on the line, which will open a window with this graph in it (for Corbyn) on the market I think you mean:
https://www.betfair.com/exchange/politics/marketactivity?id=1.125575094&selectionId=9553914

Surely that's a different market.

Didn't anne say the PM after the next election?

annie as well.

MArket is "UK - Next General Election - Prime Minister After Theresa May"

That market says the PM after Theresa May.

I see the Spiv fanboys are keeping up their obsession with THE leader of the Labour Party , a threat to Britain lol

It would not matter if that Jesus fella was Labour leader the tory lie machine would attack him or her

Yes, I was right, thank you Just Checking, he was among the favourites with boris and loads of money traded on him at low odds - but now lots of money traded at much, much higher odds, what is going on? He must have told someone he will definitely resign, but when?

I suppose that the chance of an early GE is gone now. And he's 70. Birthday yesterday LOL if wiki is right, surprised nobody in the media has made a joke about Labour getting a huge loss being a "birthday present"! I'd imagine he might retire, he'd be like 73 or something next GE you'd assume?

If that's the market for PM after the next general election, why do they mention Theresa May?

If Corbyn is in there, then it is the PM after the next election.

So why mention May at all?

The obsession with everything you incessantly bore with on a daily basis (BBC, C4, Corbyn, blah blah) continues far more than anything I have put on here.
You want to look in the proverbial mirror, mate.

I have thought as well that the wording is odd Dr Crippen.

sounds like that market is just another betfair f*ck up, where they assumed we wouldn't have another unelected PM

This forum is populated by politically motivated middle England old gits with a penchant for the Mail and who only see what they want to see. With NO ability whatsoever of looking at an alternative perspective.

Says the 60yo boy wonder. SF you're the most blinkered poster on here.

60yo eh?

I thought he were a lot older than that.

No reliably informed he's only 60.
BTW I fear War and Peace soon.

Yes akabula, another mess all over the page with caps bold and multiple exclamation marks all over the shop.

The market will have rules that explain exactly what it means somewhere.

You sense another "Never mind the quality, behold the quantity" inbound aka?

You must fear loads of stuff at your age akabula.
I'm not 60. Who said I was?

Nice see you protecting the likes of crippen and Just Checking against my might again though. Well done.

You can all bang mittens together now.

BTW I fear War and Peace soon.

It's happened, he's posted it on the lfc thread.

"against my might"
LOL just when you thought his lack of self awareness had peaked.

I said he's older than that.

“Against my might”

If I ever wanted to kill myself I’d climb SF’s ego and jump to his IQ.

Beware the wrath of the mighty poster.

Against my might
[   This image is no longer available.   ]

Do you think he types all those long rants dressed in his Thanos onesie? “Behold my might, puny Chit Chatters. My superpower is copy and paste.”

Just to clarify, you humourless bunch are so on the edge of your chairs you don't realise I was just having a little dig at akabula - ironically suggesting he really doesn't actually NEED to help you out.

It seems he does though.

You really, actually believe I wasn't using hyperbole?

That is correct.

Now then STUDYFORM, you're losing your cool again.

Incidentally, Torquemada, I c+p'd nothing. Apart from saving it for reposting after it gets removed.

Not at all crippen, much as you'd love it.

I'm just reeling and laughing at the patheticness of so many possible grown men.

Behold my might.

And, not that you'd tell the truth, before you just looked it up, you had no idea what hyperbole means did you?

I know, Studyform. It’s a most impressive trait, not embarrassing at all. I don’t care what everyone says about you, they’re just jealous.

You would be among the last people I seek to impress, Torquemada.
But we have one thing in common. I don't care what they say about me either.

Given who "They" are.

STUDYFORM ready to blow his top.

Any minute now.

Massively long rant incoming.

Calling us BOC wasn’t very nice. Sense of humour failure? All forum superheroes have their weaknesses, I suppose.

Study i would not bother with these tory fanboys they have their little squad and always need 3 or 4 of them to attack somebody who does not hold their rancid view of the world and humanity

What? Bank of Canada?
I was just suggesting you were Bankers.

Looks like we have found the perfect sidekick for Captain Hyperbole.

Boy Anxious.

It's joy enough, anxious, to know I've brightened up the evening for the hard of thinking.

Talkmadder how is them scaffolds la ?

Mostly in the past, Anxious Boy. You’re well behind.

How are things at the job centre?

lol thats all in past la , do try to keep up

Are you still delivering leaflets for you local tory office ?

No. I’m teaching Mancs about basic hygiene and how to read. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it.

You're teaching Mancs, from Liverpool?
What is it, a care in the community project?

Could you also share a fraction of your amazing grammar skills some time, perhaps?

Do you also offer them shellsuit fitting sessions?

It's cleaning up the planet SF.
Part of climate change.
The mancs exude more toxic gasses than any other group.

We'll see, I'm a bit busy at the moment and definitely having another few days away from this forum.
Today was just a little reminder of what makes it tick.

Manchester is a wonderful place talk , are you having a sly dig at me again la ?

Yes, Mouse. And tanning etiquette.

I lived in Liverpool for about 5 years.
So I can understand why you might want help in a few areas.
*not geographical ones, in case you misunderstand.

Perhaps you could help us with our infamously poor sense of humour, Studyform?

In return I could assist with your spelling, grammar and other academical shortcomings. Deal?

Your quick wittedness, or lack thereof, could also use some work it seems. Hurry up! I’m off to bed soon.

Cheers then, I’m off to bed. I’ll catch up in few days, after your “rest.”

I'll pass, thanks.

My academic (no need for the al) and grammatical shortcomings are ones I feel I can live with.
Or, to be more proper, they are ones with which I can live.

Spelling? I made spelling mistakes?
I'm not sure I did, but just in case, I'll get the birch twigs out.

The sense of humour lack? Not that it IS particularly infamous.
Sorry, I'm afraid you may be beyond help.
Silk purse, Sow's ear, that sort of thing.

Quick-wittedness should be hyphenated.

Well spotted, I wondered if someone would get that!

I'd be surprised if STUDYFORM would know that quick-wittedness required a hyphen without being told.
He thinks using words like hyperbole makes him expert.

Go back to the DwD thread where I had to smack his bottom for lack of clarity in explaining his position.
In all situations his vanity exceeds his intelligence.

I spotted it STUDYFORM but, true to form, I held my tongue and never mentioned it.

Study will shortly be logging in under one of his other usernames, (probably Scandinavian Haven), to reassure himself of his might; what an abject plonker he is!
