Apart from revealing what he and Johnson discussed in private (I assume,) he's stabbing another candidate in the back even before all the runners have been decided. Id say that will rule him out of most people's cabinet whoever wins, and it certainly won't be him with that ridiculous face and boring manner of speaking. The thing is he is actually telling the truth it's just not what people want to hear and of course won't win the leadership contest.
Boris and Raab are already promising impossible things that they know the membership want to hear, it might pick up a lot of support, but it's this sorta stuff why we're in this mess in the first place. It's also going to come back to bite them in a few months if they win and then can't deliver their promises. |

they are not promising impossible things, even though you might think or want it to be. As for Quasis dependant; if he is saying things that people don't want to hear, then why is he saying them? I thought he wanted to be PM? Are you insinuating that he has another agenda? Maybe to sabotage Bojos bid? That's not cricket dear chap. They most definitely are. "We will leave on the 31st October with or without a deal" is the exact same trap May fell into. It's an undeliverable promise.
I am saying that it's sad that politics has become about just pandering to what people want to hear and ignoring the realities, given it's that exact type of politics that got us here in the first place. Stewart is obviously trying to appeal in principle I'd assume to the MPs who realise this, but of course it won't win a vote in the membership which is full of people totally out of touch with reality. |

the only one out of touch is you! Just how do you think leaving on32st October is an "undeliverable promise"? That is going to happen one way or the other. The nutcase is not in power now so going back to her Li's & ineptitude is pointless. No leader now can act the same way; & it doesn't matter who it is. A deal will be done or leave it is. There will, no doubt be an attempt to bring down the Government but it will fail as MPs care about saving their own skins

If you think you will get away leaving against parliaments will you are in cuckoo land. Even the no deal "dream" is a non-starter, you wouldn't actually be around to deliver it if you tried.

The audacity of someone who presumes he knows more than the MPs or Parliamentarians is quite astonishing. As for "not understanding the political situation" Words fail me. There was a report today saying just how hard it will be to avoid a no-deal scenario, not to mention they would need the support of the incoming PM as well. Maybe leavers should stop reading Ladybird books, quit moaning & just embrace the fact that we are oft! They !are beginning to wail & screech like the Democrats in America since Clinton got nutted. That wasn't supposed to happen either!
