I have always thought the bigots on here have so much more in common with Musso extremists than most of us. I am convinced had they be born in muslim countries they would be part of the Revolutionary Guard or Isis type followers. They claim to hate these musso's so much but really are just a mirror image. The similarities are frightening! |

It was in the same post. aaronh Where I don't see it? This is a difficult thread...Parents are worried their children are being unduly influenced at school into life styles they do not approve of. I have said children MUST be given sex education lessons, but for the rest of it, Teachers should stick to teaching. Schools should not tolerate homophobia because it is bullying, which children are very inclined to do, so must keep close eye on it. |

May I inject some much needed gravitas into this mass debate?
I'm sure that every one of us would have welcomed the opportunity to watch some girl-on-girl films (or better still 'live action' performances) back in our school days, to assist our understanding of the complex world of le$b!an relationships. I thank you. |

I don’t know exactly what they are teaching but if it is that they should be respectful and understanding of all other people that’s fine by me.
Having said that should one be respectful and understanding of people who think it is ok to stone or throw people off tall buildings because of their sexual preferences then maybe there have to be some exceptions. |

aaronh - the 'garbage' you refer to in my post was that I think a can of worms has opened up.
I think it's true given what's happening at the school. The Muslim community (among others) are not happy that homosexuality is being taught as the SAME as heterosexuality. This is the whole issue with repealing Section 28. As Dr C says, it's a difficult one for the Progressive types. Do they side with the gays or the Muslims? Watch this space. |

Discrimination is part of life. In fact the 'D' word has a bad press.
We want our kids to go to 'good schools', we want them to have 'good jobs' and we move to 'good areas' where they can have 'good opportunities'. We tell them not to mix with certain kids, to stay away from certain areas. If some parents feel that exposure to info they would rather their kids not hear, isn't that their parental right? Or perhaps the State owns our kids and not us?? |

I just want to know if Injera is consistent and thinks that showing pictures of a black and a white person in a couple is promoting interracial couples and saying that people who love each other can look very different is too complex for kids to handle

Like wk the obession on tv with pushing inter racial couples is a clear dig at white people. We're increasingly made to feel guilty to be white. But if a couple are matched, OF COURSE I have no problem. As I say, very odd question... |
