Lfc was regularly posting on the politics forum in the run up to the March deadline for Brexit. He suffered constant abuse from the strong "remain" contingency there and said he would cease posting from the end of March. Not seen him since.

Getting into a debate with him was like banging your head against a brick wall. Just kept repeating himself with his stereo type views until he bored you into submission. Eccentric would be the best way to describe him. I hope he is ok.

Shirley he might just be on a ban. He said some pretty stupid and insensitive things at times. I don't think he said them maliciously though. If someone else had said some of the things he did it would have started a proper scrap. He didn't get personal and had a sense of humour at times. Hopefully he will be back to entertain.

I liked lfc , I liked him a lot . I couldn't understand him when I first joined here , almost 3 years ago , but he grew on me , despite often disagreeing with many of the things he would say . I hope to see him here again . All the best to him .

When I made the comment to Charlie that earned me a ban, he'd already made a similar comment accusing me of the same. I simply turned the tables on him to see how he liked it. Yet I was banned and he remained. |

It's a pity lfc1971 seems to have stepped down because he is a first class poster - one of the best, if not the best on here.
Very colourful and a good read. Sometimes provocative but always polite, and conducted himself in a gentlemanly manner. Which is something his critics should reflect on, considering the childish way they lose their tempers and let fly with foul abuse the moment their opinions are challenged. The forum can't afford to lose good prolific posters like lfc, who is a good cut above any of his critics. |

I did not see lfc1971 as a racist
He did have quite a touching faith in Britain and the United States... He would not have liked any views which may have challenged this In defending his belief perhaps he strayed into racist territory, easily done nowadays I am not a racist myself, but maybe wish at times those who have come from abroad try to conform to our values a little harder To be fair it is probably as difficult for them as it is for us |
