I swear that melted/cooked cheese, even when cold, tastes different and a lot better than pre cooked cheese?

Why isn't cheese sold pre cooked? I'd rather eat a "splat" of pre cooked cheddar as a snack than a baby bel or synthetic cheese string!

On your death bed OP, when your life is flashing before your eyes, I hope this thread pops in there, and you realise in horror, how much of it you wasted, with your multitude of inane and irrelevant posts on this here forum Happy

What threads precisely are RELEVANT to chit chat? Explain that to me Mr Joe!
But nice to see you say I post on a multitude of inane subjects, somethng of which I am very proud. The most tedious man on the internet, the self proclaimed Lord of the Forum and judge of us all, keeps saying I just post about the same things :)

It must be said I actually dream about posting rubbish, but that's just due to the cheese consumption.

Can you do one about chewing gum?

I despise chewing gum, and it's rarely cooked.

I would add to the OP that cheddar cheese also tastes better when it's grated - why is that?

I prefer cheese on toast when it's gone cold, infinitely more tasty imho.

Cooperman gets it! (Reason I created this thread is I found something cheesey I'd made a couple hours before and forgot about it, eat it cold, TASTE SENSATION).

Welsh rarebit, when it is cooked properly that is, is a lovely snack with a chilly pint of Aspalls. This Jamie Oliver recipe is a total winner.

Jamie Oliver has "nicked" his recipe from Delia Smith, which has been around since he was in short trousers....

Only thing is that she is showing two versions, but the one I have used for years, also has brown ale!
