Well past its sell by date, time to shut it down for good.

Could be the best news of the new week. I did watched 10 mins once a very long time ago, nothing but exploiting mental and social deficiencies solely for tv rating only. How he managed to a make a living from it beggars belief; the scrapheap is long overdue - it's where it belongs!

The Jeremy Kyle Show has been pulled from TV screens and suspended indefinitely after the death of a guest who appeared in an episode.

ITV bosses said they would not screen the episode which featured the individual. The person died a week after the recording.

ITV bosses said "their thoughts are with their family and friends."

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured."

The viewer failed to notice that the show was axed this morning when they tuned in to watch, having already consumed a dozen tinnies.

T.V at it's very worst.

Wouldn't argue with one word of that. The worst of the worst.

He has very poor presenting skills, no tact or charisma whatsoever, always spoke to his guests as if they were vermin, a lot of them you could argue were, but that's a result of the life they were born into and he should know better, it really was like a victorian freak show, people with all sorts of problems and his primary aim was to bait them to make good television, but these kind of shows lost their novelty years ago when Jerry Springer was all the rage, his stint as presenter of Good Morning Britain was terrible as well, constantly overtalking people and making the show about him.

Of course the over confidence and showmanship he displayed was because of the fact he had plenty of security men ready to step in should things get out of hand, saw a clip once of someone throwing an envelope at the back of his head which shook him lol, something like that was always bound to happen.

I watched him at a friend's house some years ago

I thought the advice he gave was not bad, what you would expect from a life coach

A TV insider who claims he used to work on The Jeremy Kyle Show has said the death of a recent guest is “the tip of the iceberg” and accused the programme of “exploiting” vulnerable guests.

The popular ITV daytime show was removed from the schedules today after it was revealed that a guest died shortly after filming an appearance.

ITV said it has suspended the show indefinitely so that a full investigation can be carried out.

The insider, who tweets under the handle @tvtenterhooks, claims in their bio that they “find people for TV shows” and said they worked on The Jeremy Kyle Show for six months.

“Can assure you, story is the tip of the iceberg,” they wrote. “Exploiting people with serious mental health/addiction problems. Promise ‘aftercare’ after f**king people’s lives up.”

They added: “Can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for this s**t to be investigated.”

Journalist Carole Cadwalladr and comedian Fern Brady were among others who took to social media to share their own experiences in relation to the controversial chat show.

Cadwalladr shared a piece she wrote in 2008 about the programme and said she was “amazed it took this long” for the show to have such grave effects on its subjects.

The controversy comes in the wake of increased discussion around aftercare for people who appear on television triggered by the death of Love Island contestant Mike Thalassitis, who was found dead in March at the age of 26.

Love Island has since promised to extend its support process and proactively offer help to islanders participating in the new series, which recently began filming.

ITV has been approached regarding the insider’s comments.

The broadcaster has also removed archive episodes of The Jeremy Kyle Show from the ITV Hub on demand service.

Speaking earlier today, a spokesperson said: “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

The Jeremy Kyle Show first aired in 2005 and more than 3,000 episodes have been produced to date, with Kyle pocketing £2m a year for fronting the programme.

I used to work on council estates across Yorks/Lancs. Every morning we would have to decamp three generations(Grandmother Mother and small kids) from the furniture before we could begin work, all glued to Kyle and his freak show.

This show did not intend anyone's death I am sure

But I feel it had some duty of care towards the people appearing on it....
in particular..it caused them no home or cause them to harm themselves

I think this is probably the end of the show...

It may have helped some people, but even one death is too many

The Jeremy Kyle Show has been axed by ITV after the death of a guest who took part in the programme.

Steven Dymond was found dead on 9 May a week after filming the show, during which he took a lie detector test.

Carolyn McCall, ITV's CEO, said: "Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show."

ITV had initially suspended filming, and the prime minister's spokesman called the death "deeply concerning".

And Jeez replied "O well nothing lasts forever,im off to the States to make some more,they love me there and the money is out of this world"

He's done Jeremy Kyle USA and they canned it.

Im sure they will find something for him though

He's got another ITV show I've seen a couple of times - a Panorama-lite production where he chases after lowlife with a microphone (with his minders in tow of course) and expresses his mock outrage after they've managed to escape.

Maybe Panorama will do a programme on him.  I've always wanted to see a show where you've got Kyle, Panorama and Dispatches investigators all chasing each other with microphones in some sort of Benny Hill sketch

Jeremy Kyle has now served its purpose, its demonised the "welfare leeches" and they've now rectified that with Universal Credit

They will probably do a "Bradley Walsh " with Kyle & create TV program's tailor made for him, that Walsh show the other day, utter tosh but just made to keep his profile up there as he is probably on a big retainer, give it six months a year you can be assured Kyle will start appearing on his own tailor made shows albeit less controversial.

Will be interesting to see if Jeremy Kyle can claim to have been offering a much needed public service to the more unfortunate amongst us .
If he genuinely believes this and that it wasn't some contrived money making scam exploiting the vulnerable , maybe he can continue to rent out a studio and continue to perform his work for , what he will insist , the benefit of those individuals featured .
However , failure to do so will prove that the Jeremy Kyle Show was , as most believe , a freak show .

Why has it taken a death for people to finally wake up to the fact that television is full of trash?

A gullible public has just been used to make 'stars' out of people like Jeremy Kyle.

All channels are churning out this rubbish on a daily basis. Reality this, reality that, it just adds up to a pile of cheap nothing.

It is obviously wishful thinking to suggest they might move on to dumping the likes of X Factor, The Voice and other glorified karaoke shows which have killed the music industry over the last 20 years.

I have no doubts sports stars, singers etc are just used and abused, make the suits millions and then are tossed onto the scrap heap, if they dare speak out they are immediately trampled on by the media.

Biggest money makers in groups/bands are never the lead singers or the book ends, it's always the songwriter, Brian Harvery was just the front man/main vocalist, never wrote any notable tracks I don't think, their biggest hit which is played every Christmas was written by the other band member who I think wrote most of their songs, most royalties would go to him if not all. Probably makes more money off of youtube lol.

I don't know his name, the other band member, saw some documentary few years ago, think he found God or something.

I thought Brian Harvey got sectioned recently, another example of a group being potless is 'Bewitched'. They sold over 3 million albums and all they received was a basic wage.

Always knew this was going off within the show,

"Producers and researchers would be talking to guests for hours before the show began, passing information across. I heard them saying things like, "You won't believe what I just heard your fella say to me just now".

It was nothing more than trash TV, and most of it was done to get "good TV"

its all well and good exposing it all now, but why wasn't it done 10 years ago? or why wasn't it done 14 years ago? if they knew all this was going on the whole time then why wasn't it exposed when the show was first airing? massive agenda was going on to demonise the working poor, the "benefit scroungers" to be exact. Now they've reformed the welfare state there's no need for this show anymore, so its perfectly ok to expose everything that went off. None of these bas*ards will see a court of law though, Jeremy Kyle gets a big payoff along with his horrible collegues, producers and directors, and all of them will be back in a nicely paid job soon enough, after a nice paid for vacation.

Its a case of we've got rid of it so be thankful, now go back to sleep.

This should be the watershed moment to finally ditch all media, they've been pulling this c*** for long enough and it has to stop, firstly by shutting down the likes of ITV/BBC etc
