With the "project fear" the BBC loved showing us what people were "stockpiling" for brexit, you would have this middle aged mother hen with a rake of spagetti, tins of ravioli, pasta.jars of passata and the rest.
A load of eejits saw that and said jaysus yer wan is fierce stockpiling there and we haven't nothing in, creating a snowball effect.
There has been no follow up,the stockpilers are looking at their mountain of shiiiite and saying that pasta was grand for the 5th night in a row, forgotten, gone, good lucka.

look at the balance of payments figure

then try argue its not brexit stockpiling...

Stockpiling for Brexit isn't your granny buying candles and tinned fish, it is manufacturers and wholesalers building up stocks.

LOL at (pa lapsy) the idea that it was "project fear" resulting in some old grannies buying an extra jar of Dolmio!

It was huge businesses with contingency plans and vast teams of Business Continuity personnel - buying huge quantities of goods and components - because there was a chance that their price could increase by 25%+ overnight.

As Donny says - you only have to look at the balance of payments figure to see this.

Thanks, i am aware of that, i was trying to be a bit whimsical for a change, abject failure maybe but i'd like to think there was some element of truth albeit just another tin of beans.

Awful from them again though

Wasn't it a few weeks ago they were reporting how bleak it all was?

China/US are having a mardy at each other and all of a sudden the economy is great is Brexit has saved the day despite not even sodding happening Crazy

Unbelievable times we live in, in a sense people are brainless to it all
