You're so out of ideas as to how to get an angry response, you're resorting to regurgitating old nonsense that people railed against in the past.
And nearly an hour and a half has gone, no-one has argued.

You must be a bit fed-up about that crippen.

Mexico - sorry taking so long to reply.

Kininmonth wrote: Climate Change, A Natural Hazard, in 2004. The quote is from that book.

Lindzen has written dozens of book/articles. The quote I gave is from his piece called Resisting Climate Hysteria in 2009.

Distance from the Sun is interesting. It varies I think by nearly 2% during each year. We're closest to the Sun in January and furthest in June. Are the searing temperatures in an Oz Summer (for example) because the Earth is closer to the Sun than before? And as you say, how much closer would we need to be for the change?

OK Injera

So you choose 2 quotes (no links ) from 2004 & 2009 yet used the present tense "ARE." .

I don't believe anybody has claimed that 100% of iintellegent people believe the basic concepts of global warming .

Are you claiming that the orbit of the planet has changed recently, you mention that Earth is closest to Sun in January & try to link this to the increase in temperature in one part of the planet in summer.
So is this orbit of the Earth changing- did it use to be circular 100 years ago but is now elliptical? Or has the Earth been closest to the Sun in January for the past 100 years.
Has anything changed?

You didn't bother to explain if a 10,000KM move towards the Sun is "very significant " with regard to global temperatures. You claimed "any" move is - even 100KM???

BTW , scientists do actually study the Sun- it is considered important for human life. You make it sound like thousands of climate scientists are unaware of tgat star a few million KMs away but you have noticed a big yellow ball in the sky. Well done.

It's a forum Mexico. Different views. As for considering 2004 and 2009 links are somehow old views I find that odd but that's your view and I accept it.

As you well know the Earth is tilted 23.5 degrees and is kept in check by a gravitational pull from the Moon and vice versa. Also the mass of the Sun affects us. Of course the hotting up in January is not new. But high temps in the southern hemisphere at that time of year is nearly always atrributed to ACM and I question that.

I take back the 'any' remark about any difference in our proximity. It would have to be 'considerable'. At 93m miles away the % of variance would have to be higher than 'any'. But I'd like it discussed.

Likewise this use of 'greenhouse' as a negative is unhelpful. Without a greenhouse affect we couldn't sustain life.

''Ruminants including cattle and deer produce large amounts of methane, a greenhouse gas with an impact on the atmosphere 23 times greater than that of carbon dioxide.''

In view of that should we not ignite our farts whenever possible?

I think you are misrepresenting the climate scientists with regard to summer Southern Hemisphere temperature.

It is the change in temperature averaged over a few years which are attributed to climate change, not a hot week in Perth or Melbourne.

It tends to be the journalists who want scientists to say that one hot day/week/month in one geographical area of the planet is due to global warming.
The concern of the scientific community is that the average temperature of the whole planet has been changing over the past few decades at a much faster rate than anything natural .

Likewise with "greenhouse ". Is is not the fact that the Earth has an atmosphere which keeps the planet warmer which concerns climate scientists. It is the change of the chemical composition of he atmosphere & how that changes the greenhouse effect.

We are running a typical scare hysteria model. Some concern gets picked up by the media, hyped up by experts who then create more media attention then politicians pick it up and we see crowd hysteria followed by mass demos/concern followed by politicians coming under more media/crowd pressure to be seen doing something, usually followed by heavy regulation and increased taxes to address concern. When it all settles down we can go back to sleep.

No we can’t ,climate change /global warming whether you accept its man made or not is not the issue ,in fact the climate change can be put aside for a moment as it’s such a cluster fook to debate .No the issue is the fine balance that exists for many species is already at tipping point ,the niches that have allowed them to exist for hundreds of thousands of years is under threat from a multitude of factors .Many of these factors have slowly crept up on these species via they’re habitats destruction ,mostly from mans pollution of the environment ,look at the humans global growth rate in the last 200 years ,look at total human population in the last hundred and 50 ,then look in the last 30 .All the pollution from plastics to drugs ,pcb ,pesticides that are too good ,it’s endless and many species are on the cusp ,once they are gone they are gone . Of course another problem is the west’s views animals over humans in many third world countries ,and actually prevents natives from exploiting wildlife when this to me is barking up the wrong tree and further shows the vast gulf that exists between 3rd world countries and the west .Our constant greed is the prob ,we need to turn it around but I don’t think it’s possible ,it’s all too much of a clusterfck to iron out ,we expect countries full of people struggling for an existance to be environmentally aware and we blame them for cutting jungle down to grow valuable crops ,that’s unfair . The habitats that are under threat are not just in far flung places ,it’s on our doorstep ,as already mentioned it’s subtle but to those that know of nature can clearly see it ,and it’s all just symptoms of far bigger problems .We need to reconsider how we live and how much waste we create ,how much each and every one of us  needlessly wastes and how little we as individuals add to that drip drip drip of contamination of a once pristine world ,now reduced to a big toilet and it’s now backing up and overflowing .

b-b-b-b-b-b-but it MUST be a case of Apocalyptic Climate Change, because some 16 year of truants said so to easily-impressed moronic lefty media/politicos and they swallowed it whole unquestioningly. Anyone who quite reasonably pointed out some factual errors in their submissions was bawled out as a monster.

The number of people who don’t know the difference between weather and climate is quite embarrassing.

But I suppose it fits in with their stupid narrative on life. “ Oh my god the weatherman said it’s going to be cold, that must mean global warming doesn’t exist! I was right all along.”

In the good old days people like this - idiots, let’s call them what they are - were usually sighted in the local boozer, but people usually left them well alone because you didn’t want to be associated with someone so devoid of intelligence.

Enlighten us Mr Eboue. We're all ears.

Ps the deforestation is a scandal. Trees taken down, sod the TPOs on them, fields ripped up everywhere, eco systems forever destroyed.......where?

South East England, gradually being tarmaced, bricked and concreted. AND not a whisper from Attenborough, Sky nor the BBC!

Burn hydrocarbons in Oxygen & water is produced.

Jet fuel is a hydrocarbon, there is oxygen in Air.

A 10 year old can understand chemistry at that level.

What grade did you get in your A level Chemistry Terry?

A much better idea would be to see what a chemtrails looks like. A Jet flying higher than normal, going faster than normal, with 4 wide trails, which hover in the sky far longer than contrails. Often on a clear day you will see as many as 5 jets spraying at the same time and yes one of the ideas is to block out the sun as well as nano particles of heavy metals falling down on us all--get off your phones and see for yourselves guys.

You keep posting "stories " yet you refuse to provide links & you refuse to answer the most simple questions- yet you keep asking questions (which people generally answer)
