Last thing I saw was Woman in Black about 12 years ago. Just two actors, everything else is inferred. It was very, very good. A nice break from the over-the-top whizz bangs of TV and film.

Just to clarify, I went to Phantom of the Opera 'featuring' Michael Crawford not 'with' Michael Crawford. Just in case people think I may be limp wristed or friends with Dorothy.

I go all the time. It's a decent night out although the Savoy seating is impossibly cramped and uncomfortable if you're anything taller than 3 foot. Nice champagne bar and balcony terrace at the Theatre Royal for pre-show drinks in the summer.

Loved going to see the pantomimes as a child .most firms and workingmen's clubs and other social and British legion clubs used to have a coach trip for their members and workers children to the pantomimes.you would get ice cream .bags of toffee and a toy on your way back loved them and carried the tradition on with my children and they do the same with theirs .saw Tommy cooper and many more stars .you either went to a pantomime .a circus or had a Christmas party .I'll never forget the first time as a small child going with the workingmen's club to belle vie circus everything seemed so big and huge lions horses boxing kangaroos elephants clowns all very exciting to a small child .as I became a parent I took my children to belle view circus. And couldn't believe how small everything was .my children loved it
The club's have nearly all gone and there's very few works outings to pantomimes with all this health and safety rules it's very sad .
In my day it didn't matter so much if a couple of children were eaten by the lions and tigers .there's too many rules today

I go to the theatre whenever I'm in London. Tried the opera as well but didn't enjoy that. TBF though you do meet a nicer class of people at the opera.

I have been to a fair few shows, a lot of pantos, and a few shakespeare's.
I now realise that I have seen too many pantos - I now see them as being very thematic. Les Mis is the best thing on stage I have seen. Would like to see more 'shows'. Haven't seen enough 'plays'. Shakespeare is boring, and overrated, although it took me 50 years to realise it.
Theatre-going is very expensive. It must be great to be in London and be rich enough not to find it so.

not really a theatre goer but have been to a few shows.
went to see To Kill A Mockingbird while in New York last month - bit of a different take on the book but excellent nonetheless. recommended if new york's on your list.

Been to the theatre many times. Time, Cats, Starlight Express, The King and I, Tommy, We Will Rock You, Phantom, The Graduate and several more besides. Tip: don't get front row seats as I did with The King and I... could only see Elaine Paige when she came nearer the front of the stage, although I will admit I only bought the tickets an hour before the show started… now I know why they were still available
