Remember when a bride and groom would leave their wedding sober enough to drive their car with cans tied to the bumper?

Remember when (before the wonderful enforced multiculturalism), you would go a day without someone getting shanked.

I remember this morning how much my dad hated cats and you are not having one.

We changed the cats name to whisky as my dad had a glass of whisky in his hand and the cat rubbing against his beard. the cat loved his beard and he ended up adoring that cat and whisky.

I remember having the milk man deliver fizzy pop bottles, think they were corona or a similar brand, used to get money back on the bottles. We used to take back the empty bottles from behind the post office in my village and get the money back again.

Waiting for ceefax to update the football scores,

Getting dragged into town on Saturday afternoon for shopping when the football was on.  There'd be a crowd of men outside Curry's watching the football scores update on ceefax on the TVs in the window.

When crisps had competitions you'd look for (and sometimes find) a little sachet in your packet.  Never won any money but often won a free pack of crisps.  Nowadays it's all about entering your details online so they can bombard you with shít.  Just not the same as looking for a sachet.
