Just Checking - Used to see them regularly when they toured UK .
Hammersmith Odeon supported by Triumph (another Canadian band) was probably the peak . On another tour they had another Canadian band called 'Max Webster' supporting who I thought were really good but dunno what became of 'em . Rush then went on to do bigger venues such as Empire Pool Wembley etc. and although still good I preferred the smaller gigs .

They did a "covers of bands they liked" album once, not sure if any of these would float your boat:

(His voice is a bit ... Marmite, but their drummer is widely acknowledged as one of the best there's ever been).

I took my mum to Wembley to see them (my parents were still going to live shows in their 60's !) cos she wanted to see Neil Peart performing live . Best drummer/percussionist I've ever seen .

I'd even rate him above the likes of Cozy Powell , John Bonham and Chester Thompson .

Keith Moon.. Ringo Star. I only just realised there seems to be a celestial pattern in drummer names.

Why wouldn't they continue to protest?
The Notre Dame donations have proven their argument to be true i.e there is an unjust division of wealth in French society

'Some carried banners slamming the “hypocrisy” of wealthy billionaires pledging a total of more than €1bn (£865m) to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral, saying business leaders had done nothing to address low salaries and the plight of people who couldn’t make ends meet. “Humans first, €1bn for the gilets jaunes,” read one banner.

“Millions for Notre Dame, what about for us, the poor?” read a sign worn by a demonstrator. “Everything for Notre Dame, nothing for Les Misérables,” read another sign that evoked Victor Hugo’s novel'.
