Dream scenario for Remainers, vote split, neither can get many seats and Euro elections result will be presented as  a repudiation of the referendum.

Or will one of them collapse and the other do well Confused

Mr Farage told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "In terms of policy, there's no difference (to UKIP), but in terms of personnel there is a vast difference.

"UKIP did struggle to get enough good people into it but unfortunately what it's chosen to do is allow the far right to join it and take it over and I'm afraid the brand is now tarnished."

UKIP leader Gerard Batten tweeted that Mr Farage's suggestion that there was no difference in policy between UKIP and the Brexit Party was "a lie".

He said: "UKIP has a manifesto and policies. Farage's party is just a vehicle for him."

He said the Brexit Party's "only purpose is to re-elect him (Mr Farage)" and was a "Tory/Establishment safety valve".

don't make any difference how many seats are won. it's what percentage they get between them. some people might remember ukip got most votes last time but would imagine hardly anyone has a clue what the seat numbers are currently

in any event in this country it doesn't seem to matter how badly the 2 main parties behave most people will vote for them regardless

We've been joking about "brexit" being something in the year 2200s?

Its not far off is it Laugh I mean this is going to rumble on into the next "election" in 2023? the 2023 election campaign will be run on brexit ffs

Its a joke. Don't vote ever again simple as that.

UKIP were used in 2015 to split the labour/UKIP votes and basically get the tories in on a majority

Strange how they then disappeared in 2017 and the tories lost their majority, UKIP were not pushed at all in 2017, BBC constantly pushed them in 2015, think about it

Farage did a runner in 2016 and that was that Mmmmmm

4 million votes and 1 seat LaughCrazyCry

Pathetic
Report SontaranStratagem April 12, 2019 6:36 PM BST
"you just wait until the next election its a wipe out"

They do not care, if they wipe out the tories its labours turn again and the same old cycle continues

How the f*** can you get 4 million votes and only achieve 1 seat?

Ridiculous
Report SontaranStratagem April 12, 2019 6:38 PM BST
I can remember the last time labour were in, it was frigging awful from 2005 onwards

It was them that introduced the sanctions regime within the DWP, it was just as heartless as the tories

I was just thinking yesterday that it's unfortunate they'll divide the vote. Splitters.Scared

I like how the Brexit Party is "ronseal", straight to the point and what they are.

So why aren't "Change UK" called the "Traiterous Anti-democratic Patronising C*** Party"?

Last time UKIP won most votes and most seats narrowly. It might make sense to combine the Brexit Party & UKIP votes and say '30% in total' but Remainers will be headlining 'UKIP loses 20 seats, Britain now wants to remain !'

More like 'UKIP loses 2 seats, britain unanimously wants to remain"

only a total idiot would fall for that interpretation of the result. the 27% UKIP got last time is main figure to bear in mind

no one reasonable will take a blind of notice of what slant the usual remoaner suspects might try to put on it

I used to rate Farage but he is now one of the paid elite and this new party is part of the plan to take votes away from ukip, brexit party is just a sham dressed up as something meaningful, which it is not.
Report mouse muldoon April 13, 2019 12:14 PM BST
UKIP having Tommy in the fold should at least give them a head start in the sales of mugs and t-shirts.
Report Ibrahima Sonko April 13, 2019 12:33 PM BST
UKIP dont have TR, not sure where you get you information from. Well I actually do as you just repost everything you get from the MSM.

Every party has at least one.

Not sure mouse, looks like you have already made your mind up.

Have you actually ever seen him appear with the ukip party ?
Report mouse muldoon April 13, 2019 12:45 PM BST
No, I've never attended a ukip party event.
Report Ibrahima Sonko April 13, 2019 12:47 PM BST
Right so you get your views from what is reported in the MSM ?
Report mouse muldoon April 13, 2019 12:52 PM BST
I don't have a dark web, therefore I only have access to a MSM.
Report Baphornet April 13, 2019 12:55 PM BST
will they form an alliance and join forces? Hard to say but if they did; they would rule the EUs. Common sense would have to prevail or a backdown from UKIP, as Farage will want the victory all to himself of course. If Farage does win, then leave will gain a new mandate & the nutcase will be toast. Meanwhile we have the nodding dog preaching that if we get my masters baby through; "We won't have to take part in the EU elections" Laugh he cracks me up!
Report Baphornet April 13, 2019 1:00 PM BST
but just think if Farage was sat in Brussels & then a new PM asked him to sit in on new negotiations (accompanied by an army of Rumpoles) with the bureaucrats; what fun that would be
Report Baphornet April 13, 2019 1:05 PM BST
and before any Farage haters jump in, just remember this; he was waiting & ready for this to happen, while all the other numpties were sat on their hands & planning 10 days in Ibiza
