More of a non-statement. A further extension is required and she'll have a cup of tea and a chat with Jeremy.
Report scandanavian_haven April 2, 2019 6:11 PM BST
extension it is - and she's ruled out No deal virtually.

How many cabinet resignations will we get?
Jeremy will stick to his Customs Union mantra and help Theresa break the Tory party in two.

It "sounded" like she wanted a chat with the opposition, but just about the thing she keeps trying, and failing, to do.
Or in other words, trying to blame Corbyn for her own uselessness.

That was a speech that didn't say much at all.

What on earth is she entertaining Corbyn for ? He secured fewer votes at the ballot box than Remain got at the referendum Crazy
Report scandanavian_haven April 2, 2019 6:18 PM BST
What will the ERG and the DUP do now, the statement was a soft Brexit announcement.

As did she.
That is not a sensible comparison.

Interesting use of the C word, putting out a ladder to climb down from her red lines.

they'll be absolutely annihilated at the next election if she goes down that route

brexit been sold down the river no democracy in this country any more we are just a sh1t hole surrounded by the sea

Like it or not, there just isn't a better trade deal than the one that we currently have within the EU.
To leave, you have to accept that and be prepared to pay the price.
Report mafeking April 2, 2019 6:36 PM BST
you get all the remainer MPs saying no one voted to be poorer. that's just not true. amongst other things osborne said it would cost each household £4300 per year and the voters said fine and still voted out. unlike to MPs money isn't everything

An absolute disgrace from start to finish Sad

We were always staying, but the really infuriating part about all this was we knew it didn't we? We knew they'd pull all the tricks in the book to stop it, whether it was a watered down no point in bothering "deal" or they just pull this s*** and keep the can going down the road

A f****** disgrace and sorry but its past the point of peaceful protesting now Crazy

I have no new expletives for that creature in number 10, so I'll just call it "the thing"

An ugly thing, a bucket of sick
Report scandanavian_haven April 2, 2019 6:41 PM BST
tbh, all this will end up with it the tory party arguing amongst themselves for the next 40 years over the deal and an increased chance of hung parliaments.

There have been so many times over the past year when I thought she was bound to resign, but to come out today & be prepared to ditch everything she has stood for & still be prepared to continue is totally unbelievable
Report lybertyne April 2, 2019 7:24 PM BST
I don't know why but I keep thinking of Spencer Perceval of late.
